Menjelang pertandingan, flashback dulu laga tandang United ke Stadion Cahaya kata @Zulfan;

United out to extend Stadium of Light record

Manchester United are aiming to extend an impressive record at Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Saturday, having gained at least one point on every Premier League visit so far.

Last season's 1-1 draw, when Juan Mata's opener was cancelled out by Jack Rodwell, was the 13th consecutive occasion on which the Reds have avoided defeat at the Black Cats' ground.

United have only lost once on Wearside in the Premier League and that was in 1997 when Sunderland were still playing at their former home, Roker Park. The hosts triumphed 2-1 with goals by Michael Gray and John Mullin, despite Andy Melville putting through his own net.

Since the maiden voyage to the Black Cats' current home in 1999, United have won nine and drawn the other four games there in the Premier League. The only defeats have come in the League Cup, both 2-1.

The final visit before the turn of the millennium required a comeback as Sunderland led 2-0 inside 12 minutes through Gavin McCann and familiar foe Niall Quinn before Roy Keane and Nicky Butt rescued a point.

Andy Cole scored in both wins in 2001, 1-0 and 3-1, before Ryan Giggs netted in a 1-1 draw perhaps best remembered for Keane's sending off following a spat with Jason McAteer. As Sunderland dropped out of the top flight, another three years elapsed before the Reds returned to the Stadium of Light in October 2005. Three strikers - Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Giuseppe Rossi (with his first-ever Premier League goal) - all scored to earn Sir Alex Ferguson's men a fine 3-1 success.

The margin was even greater on Boxing Day in 2007 as Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a stunning free-kick in a 4-0 romp. Louis Saha scored twice, once from the penalty spot, with Rooney the other marksman. A narrow 2-1 victory in April 2009 edged United closer to the title when Federico Macheda, six days after his dream debut strike at home to Aston Villa, scored another winning goal at Sunderland's expense.

The Reds kept clean sheets on their next four trips to the Stadium of Light; Nani scored the only goal there in May 2010 and the visitors notched two more 1-0 wins after a 0-0 draw in October 2010. Rooney did the damage on the final day of the 2011/12 season but it all ended in agony for the Reds when, back in Manchester, neighbours City scored twice late on against QPR to snatch the title. The following year, Robin van Persie's drive deflected off Titus Bramble as United took a big step towards claiming the trophy back.

October 2013 heralded the arrival of Adnan Januzaj, who scored both goals in a 2-1 triumph to mark his full debut in style. Mata was the last United player to net there, in the aforementioned visit of August 2014.

United's unbeaten Premier League record at the Stadium of Light :
28/12/99 D 2-2 Keane, Butt
31/01/01 W 1-0 Cole
13/10/01 W 3-1 Vargas o.g., Giggs, Cole
31/08/02 D 1-1 Giggs
15/10/05 W 3-1 Rooney, van Nistelrooy, Rossi
26/12/07 W 4-0 Rooney, Saha 2, Ronaldo
11/04/09 W 2-1 Scholes, Macheda
02/05/10 W 1-0 Nani
02/10/10 D 0-0
13/05/12 W 1-0 Rooney
30/03/13 W 1-0 Bramble o.g.
05/10/13 W 2-1 Januzaj 2
24/08/14 D 1-1 Mata

Default Re: [EPL] Sunderland vs Manchester United

Jelang pertandingan, preview dari sono, dah diupdate juga di page 1 yak. Menarik di poin paling bawah, kesempatan United mendekati gap poin diatasnya

PREVIEW : SUNDERLAND V MANCHESTER UNITED

Form guide : United have lost just one of the last nine games and are unbeaten in 13 previous league trips to the Stadium of Light. The sides drew 1-1 in last season's corresponding fixture, but the Reds had claimed victories on the three trips to Wearside before that. On an individual level, Wayne Rooney has scored seven goals in eight appearances since the turn of the year and netted three times against Allardyce's side last season. The skipper’s seven-goal tally against the Black Cats is the most by any United player in the Premier League era. Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard will be hoping to score the Reds' opening goal for the third game in a row, after netting against Stoke City and Chelsea.

Latest team news : Will Keane has been named in the travelling squad for Wearside. Adnan Januzaj and Guillermo Varela are both be unavailable after limping out of the Under-21s' 7-0 thrashing of Norwich City on Monday while Phil Jones also sustained a knock. The game is also likely to come too soon for Ashley Young and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia are closing on a return, while Luke Shaw is still out. The home side are without Younes Kaboul, Sebastian Larsson, Jeremain Lens and Duncan Watmore while Adam Johnson has had his contract terminated.

View from the dressing room : Michael Carrick says his side need to battle on after last week’s Stamford Bridge disappointment. "There is plenty to play for this month and of course plenty of points to play for in the league. We’re not giving anything up just yet," he said on Tuesday. "We have to battle on through, keep going and play something like we have been doing over the last few weeks and then see where it takes us."

View from the opposition : Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone thinks his side’s precarious league position makes Saturday’s clash very important. "In the last three weeks, no matter who we’re playing we want to get three points; we want the three points (on Saturday)," he told the club’s official website.

Danger men : After six months in the MLS, Jermain Defoe has managed to recapture the form that once made him one of England’s hottest strikers. The 33-year-old has averaged a goal a game this year and will be crucial to any success the hosts may have if he is deemed fit to feature on Saturday. January arrival Wahib Khazri has impressed in his two Sunderland appearances thus far, providing a slick assist for the former in last weekend’s Anfield draw.

Referee : Andre Marriner will take charge of his first United match since last season's visit to Everton. The West Midlands official has sent off seven Sunderland players in his last 17 games involving the Black Cats and presided over their 6-2 defeat at Goodison Park earlier in the season, as well as last term's 8-0 caning at Southampton. United have lost four of the last five games he has overseen.

Rivals watch : The top four all face off against each other on Sunday, with Leicester City visiting Arsenal and Manchester City hosting Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool travel to Aston Villa on the same day.

Perkembangan pemain yang cedera

MIXED NEWS FOR UNITED'S INJURED PLAYERS

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is likely to be without three players who were on Under-21 duty on Monday when naming his squad to face Sunderland this weekend.

Phil Jones, Guillermo Varela and Adnan Januzaj all picked up knocks during the second string's 7-0 win over Norwich City at Old Trafford. Although Bastian Schweinsteiger is still sidelined, there is more encouraging news on Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia following their operations.

"It's not looking good because I also let my players play in the second team and various players were injured again," the manager told MUTV at the Aon Training Complex on Friday afternoon. "They're not very nasty injuries but I still have to give them time to recover.

"It is a big pity because Jones is a very good central defender and we are missing him and also Marcos Rojo for a long time already.

"I cannot say Bastian is returning within two weeks because I have given him, more or less, a little holiday as he also has to change his mindset. It's good for players. I have done that also with Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw, for example, when you are injured for longer than normal.

"The light at the end of the tunnel is more for Rojo and for Valencia. They are coming back and I hope it's as soon as possible."

Berkat performa bagusnya di U-21 dalam beberapa pertandingan terakhir, semoga dapat menit bermain lawan Sunderland

KEANE IN UNITED SQUAD FOR SUNDERLAND TRIP

Will Keane has been rewarded for his fine form at Under-21 level with a place in the Manchester United squad for the trip to Sunderland.

The striker scored five times in front of Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford on Monday, as Warren Joyce's side beat Norwich City 7-0, and followed it up with an assist for Joe Rothwell's winner against Manchester City on Thursday night.

When asked by MUTV if it was likely the 23-year-old would be involved in the first-team squad soon, van Gaal replied: "Yes, that's the reason we called him back [from a loan spell at Preston North End].

"He's always training with us, with the first selection, and he's scoring a lot of goals now. He is also in the squad tomorrow and I hope that he shall continue with scoring goals because that is very important for a striker."

Keane was on the bench for the Emirates FA Cup third-round victory over Sheffield United but has not played for the senior side since his debut, when he came on as a substitute in the home defeat to Blackburn Rovers on New Year's Eve 2011.

Pas banget lawan Sunderland sih Adam Johnson dipecat karena skandal. Lumayanlah ngurangin daya serang sekaligus eksekutor bola mati yg lumayan merepotkan.
Datang dengan skuad yg siap utk mendapatkam kemenangan. 3 poin harga mati pokoknya. Hajar

waspadai menggeliatnya team di ranah degradasi ……, minggu lalu aja setelah tertinggal 2 gol di Anfield, dalam 15 menit tersisa, the black cat mampu mencuri satu point dengan menyamakan kedudukan 2-2 (Johnson n Defoe)

sebaliknya United sendiri minggu lalu justru kena bobol Costa di injury team sehingga gagal membawa pulang tiga point dari Stamford Bridge
