Form guide: Manchester United opened up a three-point gap at the top of the Barclays Premier League on Saturday with yet another come-from-behind win. This time it was against Reading in a crazy match that finished 4-3 and featured all seven goals*in its opening 34 minutes.*Cluj, meanwhile, lie sixth in Romania's Liga I, 15 points adrift of leaders Steaua Bucharest. Cluj drew 1-1 last Saturday against Gaz Metan Medias.

Ins and outs: Sir Alex Ferguson has already made it clear he'll freshen things up at the back and hopes to welcome back Nemanja Vidic to the fold. He also plans to give outings to Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Alexander Büttner, although*the game is likely to come too soon for Antonio Valencia (hip). Cluj were given a boost with recent returns from injury for Ciprian Deac and Adam Vass. Neither were registered in the club's Champions League squad this season, however, so won't feature on Wednesday.

Last meeting: Cluj took the lead through Pantelis Kapetanos when United went to Romania on matchday two but a Robin van Persie brace rescued the Reds and earned Sir Alex's men the three points. The fixture was one of the first instances this season United have employed the diamond formation and was also notable for providing the platform for Tom Cleverley's long-awaited Champions League debut.

Did you know? United's last Champions League outing, at Galatasaray, was the first time in 20 European games Sir Alex's men failed to score.

Opposition boss: Cluj may be on the verge of sealing a historic place in the Champions League knockout rounds, but their good progress in Europe hasn't masked problems on the domestic front. Ioan Andone was in charge when United went to Romania in early October but he was shown the door later that month and now it's former Hearts manager Paulo Sergio in the hot-seat.

Star man: Senegalese forward Modou Sougou has laid on exactly half of the Romanian side's eight goals in this season's Champions League competition and also netted one of his own. It's worth keeping an eye on Rui Pedro, too. He's netted seven goals in his last six games in all competitions.

Whistle blower: Italian referee Daniele Orsato will be in charge of only his third Champions League fixture on Wednesday. At just 37, the Vicenza-born official is younger than both Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

Rivals watch: Cluj must better Galatasaray's result in Braga to qualify as runners-up in Group H. Elsewhere, Manchester City are definitely out of the Champions League and have to beat Borussia Dortmund in Germany (and hope Ajax don't beat Real Madrid) to reach the Europa League knockout stage.

Vidic ruled out



Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled Nemanja Vidic out of making his comeback against CFR Cluj on Wednesday night but Wayne Rooney will start.

The club captain had been considered to return to action after his knee operation but will not be rushed back in the final match of Champions League Group H.

"I don't think Nemanja will play,"*revealed the boss.*"He feels he needs another few days' training so he won't be available. He's not far away. He's training well now but I think another few days will bring him on better.

"I wasn't considering Nemanja for Sunday [against Manchester City] anyway. Playing tomorrow would have been a bonus but Sunday would have been too soon [for that sort of game]."

Sir Alex will be making changes to his line-up with the Reds already assured of top place in the group.

"We'll rest some players tomorrow, as we did against Galatasaray," he stated. "But we have to be fair to all the teams who are trying to reach important positions - whether that's the Champions League or the Europa League. In that respect, we'll play a team that we expect will win. But there will be changes."

However, Rooney will retain his place as the forward needs games under his belt to retain top form.

"When*Wayne gets interrupted he needs three games to get back," added the boss. "That's why he'll definitely play tomorrow.

"Wayne needs to play a lot of games to get his match-fitness up. He's a strongly-built lad and when he misses two games, it takes him three games to come back. It's the way he's always been.

"He'll play tomorrow night and hopefully that brings him on further. On Saturday [at Reading], that was his best performance of the season so far.

"Shinji Kagawa's injury has been longer than we thought. He's much better now and I don't think he's far away now."

Mudah2'an Nick Powell n Larnell Cole main 90 menit,,pgn liat permainan 2 youngster ini. Nick Powell long shootnya mirip Gibson n Scholes...kenceng,melintir,n akurat mdh2'an nantinya makin komplit skillnya,,ga cm long shoot. Larnell Cole winger muda yang tersisa di tim reserve stlah Brady n Lingard diloan. Henriquez juga blh tuh jd starter,,duet sm Rooney.
Cluj pzt mengincar 3 poin di Old Trafford,,karena cuma itu jln satu2nya utk lolos. Mdh2'an pemain2 muda United bisa manfaatin itu,, syukur2 bisa pesta gol...ha3x

Ekspektasi untuk melihat banyak youngster main belum terwujud nih gan. Tapi lumayan Wootton dapat kesempatan debut UCL & jd starting XI juga. Pergerakan tutup shoot lawan dibabak pertama tadi bagus banget dr Wootton.
Babak pertama De Gea banyak melakukan save penting, jadi tenang dikit
