MU hanya kebobolan tujuh kali di Old Trafford.

Old Trafford, andai mereka mampu menang atas tim asuhan Louis van Gaal akhir pekan nanti, menurut laporan The Mirror. Re: [EPL] Manchester United vs Leicester City
PREVIEW: MANCHESTER
UNITED V LEICESTER Scene-setter: A place in the Premier League’s top four is still very much a possibility for Manchester United, who currently sit five points behind Manchester City and Arsenal in the table , with a game in hand. A win against Leicester City would help keep the prospect of UEFA Champions League qualification alive. After second-placed Tottenham Hotspur dropped points against West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening, Leicester know victory at Old Trafford would secure their maiden top- flight title. Should United claim the spoils, the Foxes would still only need a maximum of three points from their last two matches to clinch the trophy, with Spurs facing a must-win London derby against Chelsea on Monday. Form guide: United will be in high spirits after the Emirates FA Cup semi-final win against Everton at Wembley on Saturday. Anthony Martial’s cool finish in stoppage time evoked happy memories of old as the Reds marched into the final for the first time since 2007. United's only defeat in the last 13 Premier League fixtures against Leicester was the 5-3 reversal away to the Foxes early last season. The East Midlands outfit have only lost one of their last 13 games, however, a record that helps illustrate why they have spent more than 100 days at the top of the table this term. Last meeting: Back on 28 November, Leicester drew 1-1 with United to prevent the Reds from overtaking them at the summit. Bastian Schweinsteiger scored on the stroke of half-time to bring United level after the Foxes had taken the lead through Jamie Vardy. The main talking point was not the result but rather that Vardy had written his name in the record books by eclipsing our very own Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record by scoring in 11 consecutive Premier League games. Latest team news: Schweinsteiger, Luke Shaw and Will Keane are all still sidelined due to their injuries. Adnan Januzaj has also been out of action due to injury, while Andreas Pereira will hope for a recall to the squad after not featuring for the Under-21s on Monday. Louis van Gaal will provide further updates in his MUTV interview and press conference on Friday. Leicester are without Vardy, whose suspension was extended to two games following his red card against West Ham United; Leonardo Ulloa deputised superbly in the last match, scoring twice against Swansea City, but picked up a knock. Ex-Reds triallist Jeffrey Schlupp was drafted into the team in place of Marc Albrighton, though the latter came off the bench to bag the final goal in a 4-0 triumph. View from the dressing room : "It’s going to be a great game. They’re fighting to win the title; we’re going for the top four. We’re hoping to get what we want from the game." - Antonio Valencia , speaking to Sunday's United Review. Read the full interview in the matchday programme. View from the opposition: "Whenever we go to Old Trafford, it is a big game. We want to enjoy it and are looking forward to working hard this week and going there to try to perform again and get the three points." - former United defender Danny Simpson Opposition manager: Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri has had a year to remember after embarking on a journey that has been remarkable to witness. At the beginning of the season, former England striker and long-suffering Leicester fan Gary Lineker mentioned the possibility of Champions League qualification to the Italian, who responded: "Thank you, Gary… thank you very much, but it is not possible." Little did Claudio know that the team he'd just taken over were to defeat all odds in what has been an unfathomable season. In a truly romantic tale for all sports fans, a side who narrowly avoided the drop last term have come back as underdogs and played with a spirit and unwavering commitment that has taken them to the brink of the title. Trivia: Ranieri’s last game at Old Trafford was in May 2004, when his Chelsea side claimed a 1-1 draw despite finishing the game with 10 men after current Leicester defender Robert Huth was sent off for a second bookable offence. The last time the Foxes left Old Trafford without losing was in 1998, when David Beckham rescued a late 2-2 draw for the Reds, in his first league game following an infamous red card for England at the World Cup. Danger man: With Vardy still out, this year’s PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez could be the main threat. The Algeria winger has wreaked havoc this season; his lightning-quick feet and ability to read the game have contributed hugely to the leaders' success. Leicester's midfield cannot be overlooked, however, with recently-capped ex-Red Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante both providing impeccable service to their front men. Referee: Northumberland-born Michael Oliver will officiate Sunday's game. It will be his 32nd match of the season and his fifth involving United, the last of which was March's 1-0 win away to rivals Man City. |

Re: [EPL] Manchester United vs Leicester City
BOSS : WE CANNOT ALLOW LEICESTER TO WIN TITLE
Louis van Gaal has warned Leicester City that his Manchester United players will not allow them to win the Barclays Premier League title at Old Trafford on Sunday. Claudio Ranieri’s men require three more points to secure the championship crown, but the Reds must also win with a place in the top four still up for grabs and four important matches left to play. Speaking to reporters at his pre-match press conference at the Aon Training Complex on Friday afternoon, van Gaal remained quietly optimistic of securing UEFA Champions League qualification next season and spoke of delaying the Foxes’ coronation as Premier League champions. “I think we have to beat Leicester because we are still in the race for the first positions, so we have to beat them,” he said. “We cannot allow that they are the champions this weekend at Old Trafford. I think they shall be the champion a week later, so we don’t spoil the party, just postpone it a little bit. “I was the first who said that they could be champions and now a presenter [Match of the Day’s Gary Lineker] has to wear underwear when they are the champions. For me it is not a surprise; I say that many, many times. I believe in team building and the manager has done that with this team. “They had the circumstances to play always with the same team as they did not play so many matches as the other teams in the league, so it is always possible. It is good for the Premier League and the sport of football that not always the same teams are the champion.” At his press conference, van Gaal was also quizzed on Ranieri’s remarkable work this season and the Dutchman was full of praise for the Italian, citing their previous meetings as managers in La Liga. “Yeah, it was never easy to beat his teams,” van Gaal told reporters. “Valencia and Barcelona is also more or less a derby so it is a difficult match. He has always organised his teams very good.” |

Re: [EPL] Manchester United vs Leicester City
Van Gaal is left a bit red-faced after not realising many of his Manchester United squad are serial title winners.
He is asked how strange it was for United to be playing host to potential champions Leicester, and says few of his current squad had won the title, claiming goalkeeper David De Gea - who won the title in 2013 – had not been a Premier League champion. And Van Gaal even claims veteran duo Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick had only won the title “once, maybe more than once” - both have won it five times. “The players who are now playing, they are not used to being champions,” says Van Gaal. “I don’t think Matteo Darmian is used to being a champion and David De Gea was never champion, so I don’t agree with the way you make the question. “Memphis Depay was a champion last year [with PSV Eindhoven] so not many players...Rooney, Carrick, they have been the champions once, or maybe more than once.” sumber: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...e-live-7862264 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- pelatih kesayangan kita mulai lelah tampaknya

Absennya Vardy jelas jd keuntungan bwd MU,,cz Ulloa yg jd penggantinya ga secepat Vardy. Tinggal waspada sm Mahrez,,mdh2'an backfour tampil solid biar ga dibully sm speed n trick Mahrez. Mudah2'an MU bisa menang dgn skor 2-1. |
