DAVID DE GEA (6 appearances, 2 clean sheets)
An ever-present in goal this month, the keeper continued to warrant his world-class status with his consistently excellent form. The stand-out display clearly came at Anfield during the Europa League defeat to Liverpool when he pulled off a number of stunning saves. A key stop from West Ham's Michail Antonio in the closing stages of the draw at Old Trafford kept United in the FA Cup and he repelled Odion Ighalo to good effect in the league victory over Watford.

CHRIS SMALLING (5 appearances, 0 goals)
The defensive powerhouse maintained his high standards this term after missing the Watford game due to injury. He helped keep awkward opponent Andy Carroll in check during the FA Cup tie with West Ham and was voted Man of the Match for his accomplished display during the Manchester derby. After being sent off in the fixture last season, he ensured it was a much happier visit to the Etihad Stadium in 2016 by defending stoutly throughout, including making a fine tackle on City danger man Sergio Aguero in stoppage time.

ANTHONY MARTIAL (6 appearances, 2 goals)
Two goals have been enough to ensure the France international was United's top scorer this month but he has contributed far more in general play. Always a threat with his pace and trickery out wide, the 20-year-old supplied illuminating moments of magic in each of March's games. After earning a penalty when being fouled by Nathaniel Clyne, he notched his first spot-kick for the club in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool and also struck the vital equaliser against West Ham in the FA Cup.
