Default Re: United Injury News 2015/16

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw doing 'great' in comeback from injury

The Man Utd left-back has been out injured since September but is nearing a comeback.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is back training on the pitch and doing 'great' as he steps up his recovery from injury.

Shaw, 20, has been sidelined since September after he suffered a double fracture of the right leg in United's Champions League group stage defeat to PSV Eindhoven.

The England international returned to training just a fortnight ago and provided a positive update on his progress on Instagram earlier in the week.

Now his manager Louis van Gaal has given further upbeat news and revealed he is now back on the pitch, albeit not yet training with the football coach.

Van Gaal said: "He's very positive, he's doing great, I cannot deny that so he's training on the pitch. But now he's training with the physiotherapist and he has to train with the football coach and that still hasn't happened."

If Shaw's recovery continues to progress well, he could be in line for a first-team comeback in the FA Cup final - if United beat Everton this Saturday at Wembley.
