Manchester United 'confident of landing £120m Jadon Sancho if they qualify for Champions League but face competition from PSG'

* Manchester United are confident of winning the race to sign Jadon Sancho
* The 19-year-old has emerged as European football's most in-demand player
* Borussia Dortmund will allow the starlet to leave in a huge £120million deal
* United are aware Champions League football is necessary to pull off the move

Manchester United are reportedly confident of winning the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho this summer.

But their biggest rival could be Paris Saint Germain despite the 19-year-old's lacklustre display in the 2-0 Champions League defeat by the French champions this week, according to the Daily Mirror.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the winger.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are set to head a long list of clubs competing for the signature of Europe's most in-demand attacking player.

However, the Red Devils know their optimism rests on qualifying for the Champions League this season.

As things stand Solskjaer's men currently sit four points adrift of the top four places.

Manchester United are confident of winning the race to sign Jadon Sancho in summer. Sancho is lighting up the Bundesliga again this season with 17 goals and 16 assists in 35 games. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the winger but knows Champions League football is a must

United could also qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.

They took a giant stride towards the quarter-finals by thrashing LASK 5-0 in Austria.

United are able to meet Dortmund's financial demands for the player, while having the power to match any rival's lucrative wage offers.

Dortmund have already made clear their willingness to allow the youngster to leave, though will demand a £120million fee in order to sign off on a deal.
