Belgian youngster completes Fratton Park loan

Portsmouth have reached an agreement with Anthony Vanden Borre which will see the youngster move to England.

The 21-year-old is currently on the books of Italian outfit Genoa, but will move to Fratton Park on a season-long loan deal.

Pompey will then have the option to buy the Belgium international next summer should he impress over the course of the 2009/10 campaign.

Sunderland new boy Paulo da Silva has been given the green light to arrive in England.

The Wearsiders announced the capture of the Paraguay international from Mexican side Toluca last month but had to wait for the 28-year-old to be granted a visa.

Hull City have completed the signing of Stephen Hunt from Reading for an undisclosed amount.

The two clubs agreed a deal earlier this week and Reading have now confirmed the sale of the midfielder for 'a sizeable fee'.

Hull City have continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Kamil Ghilas from Celta Vigo.

The Tigers identified the Algerian forward as a transfer target earlier this month after missing out on some of the other names on their wish-list.

A deal was quickly agreed and the transfer has now been finalised, with Ghilas joining for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £2million.

He arrives on a four-year contract to become Hull's fifth new recruit of the summer.

Birmingham have signed former Liverpool defender Gregory Vignal after he impressed on trial.

Vignal has signed a one-year deal at St Andrews with a 12-month option after leaving Lens.

Blues boss Alex McLeish, who worked with Vignal during his time in charge of Rangers, has moved for the Frenchman to cover the problematic left-back spot with David Murphycurrently sidelined through injury.
