*sekitar 2 hari, sblm match vs Everton minggu lalu, diberitakan jika Sir Bobby Charlton sempat dilarikan ke rumah sakit krn masalah pencernaan. Eh saat match udah ikutan duduk manis memberi support para setan merah di lapangan. Sehat selalu Sir.

14 October 1995 - Manchester United 1-0 Manchester City



Paul Scholes scored the only goal as Manchester United moved up to second place in the Barclays Premier League table with a derby victory over basement club Manchester City.

Scholes struck in only the fourth minute and that was enough to inflict an eighth straight league defeat and fifth Manchester derby loss in a row on City.

Despite the derby defeat, Manchester City manager Alan Ball was encouraged by the performance of his side against the two-time BPL champions.

"At least we weren't overrun and outplayed and we were always in there with a little bit of a chance," Ball said. "We just didn't have enough ammunition."

Building work meant that only United fans made up the 35,707 crowd at Old Trafford, with a reduced capacity. Their City counterparts watched the match on a large screen at Maine Road.

Scholes scored his fourth BPL goal of the season when his standing header from a Ryan Giggs corner flew in off City defender Keith Curle.

Uwe Rosler came close to levelling when he headed just wide from a Georgi Kinkladze free-kick before Peter Schmeichel had to save Garry Flitcroft's low shot and a looping header from Niall Quinn, who then sidefooted wide with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Schmeichel denied Quinn again straight after the break before United hit back, with Andy Cole missing some good chances to make the match safe.

City goalkeeper Eike Immel saved a Giggs effort with the outside of his boot and United, missing the injured Eric Cantona, held on to complete their sixth win from nine league matches.

United went on to win the Barclays Premier League title for the third time in four seasons but City were relegated in 18th place.

United memenangkan derby Manchester yang digelar di OT berkat satu-satunya gol yang dicetak Paul Scholes, yang ketika itu baru berusia 20tahun, pada menit ke-5.

Di Akhir musim 1995-1996 United menjadi juara Premier League setelah menyalip Newcastle United beberapa pekan terakhir menjelang akhir musim. Dan Manchester City terdegradasi pada akhir musim tersebut

Derby Manchester tersebut menjadi Derby terakhir sebelum era Millenium yang digelar di OT, Derby terakhir sebelum era Millenium digelar di Maine Road pada musim yang sama dengan hasil 2-3 kemenangan untuk United.

Derby Manchester kembali terjadi di musim awal Millenium 2000-2001 setelah Man City kembali Promosi ke EPL. (Lama juga ya mendekam dibawah )
