Kita udah sama2 mafhum lah kalo ngelepas Welbeck "mungkin" yg terbaik bagi kedua pihak.

Filosofinya jaman mbah Fergi mungkin agak beda. Sampe pensiun juga mungkin belum open mind lah, dan mungkin aja sampe sekarang masih gitu. Pernyataan2 beiau kan mencerminkan kebijakan klub. Kalo dia bilang berlawanan sama yg dilakukan klub sekarang, wibawa klub bisa menurun.
Toh, setauku, belum ada pernyataan eksplisit beliau yg mengatakan United memang seharusnya belanja pemain 150 juta pound. Tetap saja pernyataan2 diplomatis yg menurutku menunjukkan keterkejutan beliau terhadap bursa transfer musim ini.
Kalaulah dia memang udah setuju di dalam lubuk hatinya yang paling dalam untuk belanja jor-joran, so be it...

SAF juga sebenarnya cukup boros, coba tilik berapa kali beliau pecahkan rekor transfer. Yang bikin gak mencolok kurs/ harga jual hari ini bed a dengan jaman SAF. Dulu beli permen Rp.25 dapat, bandingkan saat ini kemudian lihat dalam perspektif harga pemain bola dulu & sekarang.

Mantan asisten manajer Manchester United, Mike Phelan, tak ragu menyebut klub lamanya itu telah kehilangan identitas dengan membiarkan Danny Welbeck pergi ke Arsenal.

Kalau menurut saya United sudah tak seperti yg dulu semenjak tidak memberikan kesempatan pula kepada David Moyes. Tapi u/ transfer Welbo ke Arsenal sudah merupakan win win solution u/ semua.
Toh bukan sekali ini saja United menjual anak didiknya (biar putra daerah), cuma yg berbeda dia pindah ke rival United, mungkin bisa juga Welbo mau unjuk gigi ke menejemen United kalau mereka bakal menyesal (seperti penjualan Pogba ke Juve).

My week at United: Jonny Evans

In a feature first published in Friday's United Uncovered, Reds defender Jonny Evans looks back on the last few days and the eventful final hours of the transfer window...

We actually had a day off on transfer deadline day so I was out and about with my family but I was keeping an eye on what was happening. You know that nothing properly kicks off until about 10 o’clock at night so when it got to that time I had the TV on and sat down to catch up on everything.

Just like the fans, players get excited by all the happenings on the day, and as a footballer you can understand what a player must be going through at that moment. Some players might find out they’re leaving a club that maybe they don’t want to leave or there might be an opportunity that comes up at a club that you want to go to.

One day you might be playing somewhere and the next day you can be playing in another country and have to move your whole family or you move from one side of the country to the other. Looking at it from that aspect, it's a big thing. It's obviously exciting and crazy to watch all the transfers happening between clubs, especially those that you maybe didn't see happening, but they could be good moves for a club or a player.

All the lads were talking about it when we got back into training, particularly the fact that we'd signed [Radamel]*Falcao and Daley Blind, while*Danny Welbeck and*Tom Cleverley had gone. It will change the dressing room dynamics but while we've got two good players going out, we've got two good players coming in. That's how football works, things move on. We must make sure we concentrate on welcoming the new lads and start winning games.

The manager gave us a couple of days off this week before we came back into training to get the legs going again, and then we had quite a tough session on Thursday. Sometimes the international breaks can come at the wrong time if you're on a roll but if you're having a little bad spell they can work in your favour in terms of regrouping.

The manager will want to get us all back together as soon as he can after the internationals are finished and make sure we're ready mentally and physically for the QPR game. That's our focus.

Rio Ferdinand: Manchester United "mad" to sell Danny Welbeck

Rio Ferdinand has criticised former club Manchester United after their "mad" decision to let Danny Welbeck join Arsenal.

Welbeck, 23, secured a deadline day move to the Gunners, signing on for a reported £16m as the England forward ended a 15-year affiliation with the Red Devils.

Consequently, Ferdinand feels that United sold a "top player" that will "flourish" in his new surroundings and go on to take English football by storm.

"I cannot believe United let Danny go, especially to Arsenal," Ferdinand told the Sun. "That seems mad to me. He's a real threat to defenders and, if Arsenal use him right, he will be very dangerous for them.

"That will be good news for England, too, because if he is playing regularly that has to benefit the national team. Danny has everything to be a top player.

"English football has yet to see what he can really do because he hasn't been getting a run of games. At Arsenal he will be the main man and I have no doubt he will flourish."

Welbeck is expected to make his debut against United's local rivals when Manchester City travel to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
