UNITED ANNOUNCE 2017/18 TICKET PRICES

Manchester United announces season and match ticket prices for 2017/18:

- Season and match ticket prices frozen for sixth consecutive season
- 50% price reductions available for young season-ticket holders
- EFL Cup reductions
- Booking fees scrapped

Manchester United has confirmed season and match ticket prices for the 2017/18 campaign, which will see prices frozen for the sixth consecutive year, along with additional reductions for young season-ticket holders.

The club has reduced the cost of season tickets by a minimum of 50% for Under 16s in East Stand Tier 2, Sir Alex Ferguson Stand Tier 2 and Quadrants Tier 2. This is in addition to the dedicated Family Stand and Sir Alex Ferguson Stand Tier 3 which will remain at just £10 per game.

There will also be a 25% reduction applied to EFL home match tickets next season, in addition to the 25% discount already applied to UEFA Europa League games (if applicable), providing further savings.

The seventh price freeze in eight years will see season ticket prices start from £532 for adults, with a variety of concessionary tickets available.

Along with the price freeze and reductions on ticket prices, supporters will benefit from the removal of booking fees on all products from next season.

Speaking of the pricing announcement, Manchester United’s group managing director Richard Arnold commented: “We recognise the huge commitment shown by our incredible fans, in supporting the team, both financially and the time dedicated to attend all home games.

“The price freeze, and in some cases reductions, ensures that our loyal, long-standing fans can continue to support the team with the fantastic backing they give the manager and players at every home game.

“We are hugely thankful for the unrivalled, sold-out support which plays a huge part in making Old Trafford a tough place for any team to come and play.

“We have had record numbers of season ticket renewals and demand continues to grow at an unprecedented rate thanks to the fantastic support we continue to have at Manchester United.”

TAG HEUER UNVEIL NEW COLLECTION

* Two specially created Chronographs: the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer-01 and the TAG Heuer Formula One models

* Club captain Wayne Rooney and first-team players Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David De Gea and Ander Herrera, make a surprise appearance

Manchester United and its Official Timekeeper, TAG Heuer have today unveiled their first official club special-edition watches at an event held at Old Trafford.

Attended by the club’s group managing director, Richard Arnold, and TAG Heuer CEO and President of the LVMH Watch Division, Jean-Claude Biver, the event held in the club’s Old Trafford Megastore saw a crowd of fans gather to be the first to view the exclusive watch collection.

To add to the excitement, supporters were greeted by club captain Wayne Rooney as well as first-team players Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David De Gea and Ander Herrera, who made a surprise appearance at the store to unveil the watch collection to the awaiting crowd.

In the run-up to the launch, fans were challenged to partake in the TAG Heuer and Manchester United Pressure Test challenge, competing against the clock in the ultimate quiz. The four most successful fans were invited to Old Trafford on the day of the launch and competed against the four first-team players present.

The Manchester United and TAG Heuer special-edition watches include a bespoke design of the Swiss watchmaker’s popular Formula One Chrono timepiece, featuring the club’s famous red-and-black colours as well as the instantly recognisable club crest.

In addition to this, TAG Heuer has also created a limited edition, luxury Carrera Heuer-01 model, featuring an in-house chronograph caliber and a stainless steel case with a hi-tech matte black coating and Manchester United club crest.

United group managing director, Richard Arnold commented: "Manchester United and TAG Heuer is an ideal partnership; two icons at the pinnacle of their industries, working together to build on their history and success.

"The club is very proud to have the Manchester United crest feature on two of TAG Heuer’s most popular timepieces. A watch is something personal that you wear every day and, by creating both of these desirable pieces, TAG Heuer has produced items that are not only quality, wearable products, but also luxury, treasured items that will forever connect the owner to the club they so passionately support."

TAG Heuer CEO and president of the LVMH Watch Division, Jean-Claude Biver added: "Our partnership with Manchester United seals the important and strong involvement in football for TAG Heuer. We are particularly proud and pleased about this partnership, as it will be key in the promotion of our brand in Asia where Manchester United is one of the most popular football clubs.

“We are always trying to build what we call a 360 degree partnership, a relationship that goes much beyond being just a timekeeper or having visibility in the stadium. In addition to creating a number of engaging events for our fans, we also plan to work with United and the players to promote the special, dedicated watches designed for the club. There is no limit to the depth and width of our partnership."

The new TAG Heuer special-edition Manchester United watches will be sold at the Megastore as well as selected TAG Heuer retailers. The collection is also available online at www.store.manutd.com and www.tagheuer.com

Manchester United celebrate launch of £1,300 TAG Heuer watches with help from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and massive block of cheese

* Manchester United and TAG Heuer have launched two new watches
* The time pieces are available on the United website from £1,300
* Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and David de Gea all attended the launch

Manchester United may be sitting outside of the top four, with just 14 games of the season remaining, but it appears they have time on their side.
TAG Heuer have unveiled a new collection of watches and they include an exclusive line with United, with stars Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Ander Herrera and David de Gea all modelling the watches at an event on Wednesday.

And the occasion was commemorated by TAG Heuer's CEO Jean-Claude Biver presenting United with a 50kg block of Gruyere which had been produced on his farm in Switzerland.

The club's official timekeeper announced two new watches to be made available from United's club store, with the Formula One model already available for an eye-watering £1,300.

A second mode, the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer-01, has yet to be released on general sale.

The quartet of stars posed alongside TAG Heuer CEO Biver, while Jose Mourinho also made an appearance at the launch.

Herrera, Rooney and Ibrahimovic, all decked out in suits, took part in a beat the clock passing drill inside a constructed circle, putting TAG Hueur's tagline of 'Don't Crack Under Pressure' to the test.

To top it all off, United's two big cheeses - Rooney and Ibrahimovic - were involved in slicing a massive block of ceremonial Gruyere to celebrate the partnership.

After holding the cheese above his head Biver took the opportunity to explain just how special the partnership is between United and TAG Heuer.

'We are always trying to build what we call a 360 degree partnership, a relationship that goes much beyond being just a timekeeper or having visibility in the stadium,' he said.

'In addition to creating a number of engaging events for our fans, we also plan to work with United and the players to promote the special, dedicated watches designed for the club.

United partner with Find A Better Way

Manchester United and Find A Better Way, a landmine charity founded by club legend Sir Bobby Charlton, have today [Friday 17 March] announced a unique partnership.

Find A Better Way was founded in 2011 by Charlton, who, while visiting a minefield in Cambodia, saw first-hand the humanitarian damage that landmines continue to cause in war-torn areas both past and present. The former United and England forward felt there had to be a more efficient way of negating the effects of mines and improving safety and security for local communities whose lives are blighted by them.

There are currently 110 million active landmines worldwide, with nine people killed or maimed by landmines every day. Research suggests it would cost an estimated £20 billion and take over 1,000 years to clear all of the active landmines using current technologies.

The special partnership sees the club link up with Sir Bobby, a club director and ambassador, to raise awareness of the unique charity and support their three main areas of work: research, education and humanitarian projects.

Alongside increasing general awareness, the partnership will also involve the development of partnership education initiatives with the club’s charity, Manchester United Foundation, who work with over 20,000 young people each year.

United's executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, said: "As a club, we are delighted to support Sir Bobby Charlton in his vision of a landmine-free world for future generations.

"Landmines are a global problem and, as a club with over 659 million fans across the world, we want to reach out and educate them on the devastating effects of landmines. This could well be something fans recognise within their own communities or by supporting Find A Better Way to help improve and develop effective detection tools and methods to free the globe of landmines."

Sir Bobby commented: "I am very grateful for the support of my club, Manchester United, for joining my efforts to assist in the detection of landmines and to lessen the impact of this devastating weapon on communities throughout the world."

Find a Better Way's chief executive, Lou McGrath OBE, said: "Despite a global treaty signed by 164 countries, the millions of landmines already laid throughout the world continue to maim and kill children, women and men."

He added: "Find A Better Way supports research into better detection of landmines and better prosthetic support for victims. Its sports and education projects help warn of the dangers of landmines and how to live and play in safety. We are very grateful to Manchester United Football Club for its support and are proud of such a partnership."

UNITED SUPPORTED WITH SLEEP BY MLILY

With rest and recovery vital for a player’s preparation for matches, Manchester United stars are being supported in this important process by the club’s official mattress partner, Mlily.

Mlily are redefining sleep performance for the first team, both at home and in the sleep pods at the Aon Training Complex, where the squad can take a breather in a comfortable environment between sessions.

It will be particularly significant as Jose Mourinho’s men continue to embark on a busy schedule in the Premier League and the Europa League during the business end of the season.

One of the club’s sports scientists – Dr Robin Thorpe, Head of Recovery and Regeneration at Manchester United – discusses how Mlily are helping to ensure the likes of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are in peak condition to perform on a match day.

"From a club point of view and for our players, we thought the importance of the regulation during sleep was really high," said Robin, pictured above with Ander Herrera and Juan Mata. "The direct relationship with Mlily has enabled us to come together and bring a product to our players to enhance that sleep performance.

"Players can not only have increased sleep behaviour at home but here at the club if they’re doing double training sessions or they return from games or travel late at night. We’re also going to benefit by understanding more about the sleep patterns and the habits of our players – not just at home with their mattresses but at the Aon Training Complex."

Pomi Khan, CEO of Mlily in the UK and Canada, commented: "It’s a long-term relationship. Obviously we’re working with such an elite team in Manchester United.

"It’s going to go on for years, we’re going to keep on developing products, we’re going to keep on bringing new ideas, we’re going to keep on developing new mattresses and pillows that the general public can use and benefit from, just like an elite player would benefit."
