Erik ten Hag 'wants to bring Ajax winger Antony with him to Manchester United' if he lands the Old Trafford job this summer, with the Brazil star enjoying a standout season in Holland

* Erik ten Hag is reportedly interested in signing Antony if he gets the United job
* Antony has caught the eye of several clubs after impressing for Ajax this season
* The 22-year-old Brazilian has also been linked with Bayern Munich and Liverpool
* Ten Hag is one of the favourites for the vacant manager's hotseat at Old Trafford

Erik ten Hag wants to bring Ajax winger Antony with him to Manchester United if he is appointed manager at Old Trafford, according to reports.

Ten Hag - one of the favourites for the vacant managerial hotseat at United - is thought to be interested in making the 22-year-old Brazilian one of his first signings for the Red Devils, according to The Telegraph.

Antony has caught the eye of several top European clubs following a string of impressive performances for the Dutch side this season.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the Brazilian, who has won eight caps for his country.

United are in the market for forward players as they expect to lose striker Edinson Cavani in the summer, while there are doubts over the futures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial.

Marcus Rashford has also endured a frustrating season at Old Trafford and there has been speculation over his future - with just one year left on his deal at the end of this campaign.

Antony, who primarily plays as a right-winger, has scored 12 goals and made 10 assists in 33 games for Ajax this season. He signed for Ajax from Sao Paulo for an initial €15.5 million in 2020.

Antony has been a pivotal part of Ten Hag's team and could be set to follow the Dutchman out of the club should his current boss be given the United manager's job.

Sportsmail revealed last week that Ten Hag had been interviewed as United look to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Ten Hag is a wanted man across Europe, with his Ajax deal ending in 2023. United are also keen on Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique and Julen Lopetegui.

But Louis van Gaal, who was United's manager from 2014 to 2016, has urged his compatriot not to take the job at Old Trafford, warning they are more of a business than a football club.

Van Gaal - sacked by United hours after lifting the FA Cup in 2016 - told his fellow Dutchman to look elsewhere for his next role.

'Erik ten Hag is a great manager and that's good for Manchester United, but Manchester United are a commercial club,' Van Gaal said. 'I'm not going to advise him but he should choose a football club, not a commercial one.'

kalo sampai Antony dibawa ten Hag ke United, Martial hampir pasti pindah, ancaman bagi posisi Rashford, Elanga dan Sancho, kecuali kalo Ronaldo pindah dan Rashford coba dimainkan sebagai striker didepan

Manchester United 'are exploring the possibility of including Anthony Martial in a deal to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane this summer... but on-loan Sevilla star prefers move to Italy or Spain if he leaves Old Trafford'

* Anthony Martial joined Sevilla on loan from Man United in January window
* Spanish side do not have option to buy the France striker after end of season
* ESPN claim United are eyeing move for Spurs' Harry Kane to help revamp attack
* United are hoping to bring Kane's £100m price down by including Martial in deal

Manchester United are reportedly looking into including Anthony Martial to help fund a move for Tottenham star Harry Kane.

Frenchman Martial joined Sevilla on loan in January after becoming frustrated with his game time at Old Trafford but the Spanish side do not have an option to buy him.

The 26-year-old could still be one of a few departures in attack this summer with United looking to revamp their forward line in the transfer window.

ESPN claim Old Trafford chiefs are monitoring England captain Kane, but that his price tag exceeding £100million is a insurmountable stumbling block.

But the report adds there is hope Martial moving to north London - either in a completely separate deal or as a makeweight in a Kane deal - would help reduce the financial outlay.

The same outlet states Tottenham have enquired about Martial's availability in recent seasons but that the player's preference - if he does leave Old Trafford permanently this summer - is a move to Serie A or for another stint in LaLiga.

Martial - who joined United in 2015 in a £36m move from Monaco - has scored one goal in eight appearances on loan at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

But the France international could be among a number of attackers to depart Old Trafford this summer, with veteran forward Edinson Cavani set to leave on a free transfer.

There are also doubts about Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford's futures, which could lead to a major attacking shake-up once the new permanent manager is put in place.

Benfica striker Darwin Nunez has been linked as a potential incoming, but he will reportedly only join if United manage to finish in the top four this season.

Martial - who has a contract at United until 2024 with the option of another year - has scored 79 goals in 269 appearances across all competitions for the club.

Manchester United and Tottenham 'express interest in signing midfielder Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig... with Ralf Rangnick set to recommend Austria international to Old Trafford board this summer'

* Konrad Laimer scored twice in RB Leipzig's win at Borussia Dortmund Saturday
* The Austrian will see his current deal at the Bundesliga side expire in 2023
* BILD claim Spurs' scouts took notice of him after 2020 Champions League tie
* Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick is a reported admirer of 24-year-old

Manchester United and Tottenham have registered their interest in a summer move for RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer, according to reports in Germany.

The Austrian international - who scored twice in nine first-half minutes and also assisted in Leipzig's 4-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday - will see his current deal at the Bundesliga side expire in 2023.

And BILD report that his impressive performances in Germany this season have caught the eye of Spurs and United, who will be on the lookout for deep-lying midfielders in the summer.

The outlet claims the 24-year-old's name made its way into Spurs scouts' notebooks after Leipzig's wins against them in their last-16 Champions League tie in 2020, and add the defensive midfield role is open with Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks the alternatives.

Man United and Tottenham are reportedly interested in RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer. The Austrian scored twice and also assisted in Leipzig's win at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. United interim boss Ralf Rangnick is an admirer of the 24-year-old holding midfielder

Meanwhile, Laimer reportedly has an admirer in United interim boss Ralf Rangnick and who could recommend the Austrian to be part of the expected upheaval of the squad this summer once the German moves into his consultancy role.

United are set to lose Paul Pogba on a free transfer, while Fred and Scott McTominay have struggled to consistently impress and Nemanja Matic will turn 34 in August.

The report however adds Leipzig will also talk to Laimer about a contract extension, but that that meeting will not take place before the end of the season.

Speaking after the win at Signal Iduna Park to ESPN, Laimer said via BILD: 'After the season there is still enough time for talks...'

Leipzig boss Domenico Tedesco however was thrilled with his performance, adding: 'Konni played very well today.

'Sometimes I tease him because in training his shots go everywhere but the goal. But regardless of his goals, his performance was really good.'

Laimer's double and assist for Christopher Nkunku's goal at the weekend took him to five goals and four assists in 31 matches this term across all competitions.

Overall, he has scored 11 goals in 149 appearances for RB Leipzig since joining them from RB Salzburg in 2017.

The 24-year-old has also made 19 appearances for his country, scoring twice in the process.

Manchester United scouts watched Arnaut Danjuma's match-winning display against Bayern Munich for Villarreal in Spain with the Red Devils tracking the Dutchman's progress after six Champions League goals

* Man United have been tracking Arnaut Danjuma and watched him this week
* Scouts were present as he netted in Villarreal's 1-0 win over Bayern Munich
* Danjuma is enjoying a great season and has netted six Champions League goals
* Liverpool have also been linked with the former Bournemouth forward

Manchester United scouts were in Spain on Wednesday night to see Arnaut Danjuma give Villarreal a shock Champions League win over Bayern Munich.

Danjuma pounced in the first half at El Madrigal as the LaLiga side took a deserved 1-0 first-leg lead over the six-time European champions ahead of next week’s return in Munich.

It was the Dutchman’s sixth goal in the Champions League this season – level with Liverpool’s Mo Salah – and 14th overall for Villarreal.

United are one of a number of European clubs tracking Danjuma’s progress after he moved to Spain from Bournemouth for £21.3million last summer. The 25-year-old winger signed a contract until 2026 and is known to have a £64m buyout clause.

Liverpool have also been linked with Danjuma whose pace and ability to attack off the left flank has earned comparisons with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

He demonstrated that to devastating effect when Villarreal played United in a Champions League group game at Old Trafford in September, terrorising United right-back Diogo Dalot and setting up Villarreal’s equaliser for Paco Alcacer before Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late winner.

Manchester United scouts watched Arnaut Danjuma during his superb display against Bayern. The Villarreal star was the match-winner as his first half strike sealed a 1-0 first leg victory. United have been tracking Danjuma for some time and he impressed against them this season. The former Bournemouth man has scored important goals for Villarreal and become a key man

It has been suggested that United’s prospective new manager Erik ten Hag could bring Brazil winger Antony with him from Ajax if he lands the Old Trafford job as the club prepare to lose Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata this summer amid uncertainty over Ronaldo’s future.

But Ten Hag will also be aware of Danjuma who started his career at Nijmegen and Bruges, and has scored twice in six international appearances for Holland.

A switch to Old Trafford would unite Danjuma with his childhood hero Ronaldo. In an exclusive interview with Sportsmail in September, the 25-year-old admitted the Portuguese forward was 'an inspiration for me in a lot of ways' growing up.

Danjuma has excelled since sealing his big move to LaLiga from the Championship and has eight goals in LaLiga, in addition to his six in Europe.

He has made 24 starts under Unai Emery this season having become a key player - often leading the line in his 4-4-2 formation alongside Gerard Moreno.

He netted a hat-trick against Granada in February and also found the net in the second leg of their last-16 clash against Juventus - who they stunned with a 3-0 victory in Turin last month.

Manchester United targeting a move for Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, with further recruits expected at Old Trafford in the summer following the arrival of Erik ten Hag

* Manchester United are keen to sign Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite
* The 19-year-old defender joined the Toffees from Carlisle in January 2020
* United are set to announce Ajax boss Erik ten Hag as their new manager
* The Dutchman is set to reshape the squad and splash the cash on new signings

Manchester United are monitoring Everton's teenage centre back Jarrad Branthwaite.

The left sided defender has made five appearances and scored once for struggling Everton this season and United staff believe he has potential to kick on.

Signed from Carlisle United for £1million, the 19-year old broke into Everton's first team under Carlo Ancelotti who rated the youngster highly.

He is technically very good and at 6ft 5ins has the physical stature United are keen to bring into their squad.

They want to add a new centre back though the size of their transfer budget depends on Champions League qualification.

They have drafted a list that includes internationals but are also looking at young players with potential to develop who could be prised away for figures towards the lower end of their budget.

Everton's young centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, 19, is a target for Manchester United. Branthwaite joined Everton from Carlisle in January 2020 and has impressed when called upon

Branthwaite agreed a new contract in December that ties him to Everton until 2025, they would be reluctant to lose him but know they need to make some tough decisions this summer as they reshape an underperforming squad and need to generate funds to offset their debts.

Up to 10 players are expected to leave Old Trafford including striker Edinson Cavani, midfielder Paul Pogba and goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

It will leave plenty of scope for the Dutchman, but failure to qualify for next season's Champions League could reduce their targets and budget.

Manchester United will be linked with their usual raft of transfer targets this summer and want to strengthen the spine of the team with a new centre back, central midfielder and striker.

With a replacement needed for Edinson Cavani — and possibly Cristiano Ronaldo — it is thought United could make a move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane or Darwin Nunez of Benfica.

The midfield options are believed to include Declan Rice (West Ham), Kalvin Phillips (Leeds), Ruben Neves (Wolves), Yves Bissouma (Brighton), Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio) and Aurelien Tchouameni (Monaco).

In defence, United are said to have discussed Antonio Rudiger, who is available on a free from Chelsea, and Jurrien Timber (Ajax).

But with agents being told by United that failing to qualify for the Champions League could slash the club’s budget to as low as £20m, many of those targets could be out of reach for new manager Ten Hag.

Manchester United-bound manager Erik ten Hag to 'make instant raid on current club Ajax' with the Dutchman 'targeting £50m-rated Brazil winger Antony as one of his first deals at Old Trafford'

* Erik ten Hag is expected to be appointed as Manchester United's new manager
* Reports have suggested he could bring an Ajax star along to Old Trafford
* He is interested in signing exciting Brazilian winger Antony for the Red Devils
* The 22-year-old who was signed in 2020 could be available for around £50m

Erik ten Hag is reportedly planning a raid on current club Ajax should he land the permanent role at Manchester United.

The Dutchman is expected to be announced as the next manager of the Red Devils, replacing interim boss Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

It has been reported by the Sun that should Ten Hag get the role, he plans to make a move for exciting Brazilian winger Antony.

The 22-year-old who is valued at around £50million has been targeted for 'phase one' of United's rebuild under Ten Hag this summer.

Manchester United-bound manager Erik ten Hag is keen to bring Antony to Old Trafford. The exciting Brazilian winger has scored 22 goals in his 79 appearances for the Dutch side

Ten Hag is eager to hit the ground running at Old Trafford and is said to believe that Antony is a 'ready-made fit' for his new look United.

One benefit that Antony would have is that he knows Ten Hag's style of football, having held a regular place in the Ajax over the past two seasons.

The exciting winger joined the club for £18million in February 2020 and has gone on to score 22 goals in 79 appearances.

This season he has managed double figures in terms of both goals and assists, netting on 12 occasions and registering 10 assists.

His performances alerted the national team where he has already made nine appearances and scored two goals.

It's said Ten Hag believes it makes business sense to sign Antony this summer, rather than risk seeing his value soar at the World Cup if he impresses in Qatar later this year.

Antony was initially brought in as a replacement for Hakim Ziyech following the latter's move to Chelsea.

Sportsmail reported on Saturday that Ten Hag will sign his new four-year deal with United this week with final details being completed.

The search for a suitable back-room team to support him will intensify this week with Rene Meulensteen, United coach under Sir Alex Ferguson, the latest to be linked with a role.

Ten Hag is expected to bring his Ajax assistant Mitchell van der Gaag but also wants another assistant who knows the club well, with Robin van Persie having also been offered a job, but likely to stay in Holland at Feyenoord because of family commitments.

With five games left of the Dutch season - Ajax are four points clear of PSV at the top - Ten Hag is unlikely to comment on his new job until the season is over and has been tetchy in exchanges with Dutch journalists who persist in bringing up the issue.

Man United 'are ready to hand Anthony Martial a staggering £12MILLION pay-off to help seal a move away this summer', with Sevilla not ruling out a permanent deal for the on-loan striker

* Manchester United looking to discuss a £12million pay-off for Anthony Martial
* The 26-year-old is currently on loan at LaLiga side Sevilla from the Red Devils
* The Frenchman is still in contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2024

Manchester United are reportedly looking to discuss a £12million pay-off with Anthony Martial to help move him on in the summer.

The French forward is currently on loan at LaLiga side Sevilla and has been since January after opting to leave for regular minutes.

The 26-year-old has struggled with injuries since arriving in Spain and has made just eight appearances, even failing to score yet in the league.

He did find the net in the Europa League once in his three appearances but, despite his lack of form, a permanent move has not been ruled out, according to The Sun.

Manchester United are reportedly looking to discuss a £12million pay-off with Anthony Martial. The 26-year-old forward has struggled with injuries since arriving in Spain in January. Sevilla sporting director Monchi has refused to rule out a permanent move for Martial

Martial is still under contract until 2024 and is reportedly on wages of around £240,000-a-week at the Red Devils, which is beyond Sevilla and other interested clubs.

United have been paying 60 per cent of his wages during his stay in southern Spain and the remaining two years on his contract would cost them the thick end of £25m.

But the board will hope that the Frenchman will agree to take half of his remaining terms in order to get him off the books as they look to rebuild the squad under new manager Erik ten Hag.

Sevilla sporting director Monchi has previously refused to rule out a move to sign Martial on a permanent transfer despite his troubled loan spell, claiming a deal would be 'cheaper than you think'.

'His transfer was cheaper than you think, but it's still a big bet, just six or seven million,' Monchi told Radio Sevilla.

'Unfortunately, it is difficult to analyse Martial's performance when he was injured and now he is injured again.

'I'm not closing the door on his continuity although there's a lot to see and discuss with the player at the end of the season.'

Martial will be one of many in United's planned exodus with a number of the current squad set to depart.

Erik ten Hag 'wants to make Stuttgart star Borna Sosa his first Manchester United signing' as he aims to beat Chelsea to £25m-rated star who has been compared to David Beckham

* Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa has compared himself to David Beckham
* Chelsea are considering a move for Sosa as a possible back-up for Ben Chilwell
* Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag could hijack the move

Manchester United are reportedly plotting to hijack Chelsea's plan to buy a player who has been compared to David Beckham.

Beckham, part of the famous Class of 1992, went on to become one of the most famous players in history and was renowned as a dead-ball specialist and for his stunning crossing ability.

Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa, who has compared himself to Beckham, has previously been linked with a £25million move to Chelsea as a potential back-up for Ben Chilwell.

German outlet Kicker have reported that incoming United boss Erik ten Hag is keen to beat Chelsea to the Croatian international and make him his first signing this summer.

Manchester United are interested in making a move for Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa. Incoming United manager Erik ten Hag could look to make Sosa his first signing at the club. Sosa has compared his crossing ability to that of Manchester United legend David Beckham

His crossing ability and long blonde hair have made comparisons to Beckham inevitable - especially since the player has compared himself to the former England captain.

It's a belief which the Stuttgart's sporting director Sven Mislintat agrees with.

In an interview with Bild last season, the transfer chief said: 'Borna Sosa's said that David Beckham is his role model, and I think he has the same qualities.

'He puts in crosses from every angle; sometimes chipped, sometimes drilled, sometimes flat, sometimes in behind, sometimes to the front post, other times to the back post — his left foot is a real weapon.'

The comparisons come despite the pair playing different positions, with Beckham being one of the most successful right wingers in Premier League history with one of the most famous right feet.

Chelsea view Croatian left-back Sosa as a potential back-up for England star Ben Chilwell. Chelsea could be forced to look elsewhere if United are to beat them to the Croatian defender. Sosa (right) has made nine goal contributions in 27 appearances for Stuttgart this season

Sosa, who is left-footed, has made 27 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, directly contributing to nine goals from a wing-back position.

He would offer further competition for Luke Shaw and Alex Telles if he were to join Manchester United.

At Chelsea he would offer greater back-up to Chilwell, who has been out since November with a ruptured cruciate ligament.

Stuttgart sit third from bottom and look set to compete in a relegation play-off unless they can beat Cologne and hope Hertha Berlin lose to Borussia Dortmund this weekend.

Default Re: [2021-2022] Manchester United ~ Transfer Rumors

Newcastle 'closing in' on move for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson... with 'talks held over a 'season-long loan' and a permanent switch for the England international has not been ruled out

* Dean Henderson has reportedly been in Newcastle for talks on the move
* Henderson is expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window
* The 25-year-old England international is valued at around £20million
* But a season-long loan is thought to be the main focus of the discussions so far

Newcastle are reportedly closing in on a move for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Eddie Howe wanted to sign Henderson, 25, on loan in January and could now sanction a move for the £20million-valued stopper, who is viewed as the ideal successor to Martin Dubravka.

Henderson had ambitions to become the Old Trafford No 1 but the excellent from of David de Gea this season has severely restricted his game time.

It appears the highly-rated goalkeeper's future lies away from United, with the Manchester Evening News reporting Henderson was in Newcastle for talks on Wednesday.

According to the MEN, discussions have taken place over a season-long loan but a permanent deal is also being considered.

The England international has played in just three first-team matches this season and it is uncertain incoming manager Erik ten Hag would play him ahead of De Gea.

Dean Henderson has reportedly been in Newcastle for talks about a move from United. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe could look to replace Martin Dubravka in the summer. Henderson had ambitions to replace De Gea as No 1 but has found opportunities limited. The England keeper has been second choice to David de Gea (left) at Man United this season

Newcastle are expected to be busy in this summer's transfer window after their £305million takeover by the Saudi Public Investment Fund in October.

Henderson enjoyed two successful seasons on loan at Sheffield United before featuring 26 times during the 2020-21 campaign as then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave him opportunities.

That led to his one and only senior England cap against the Republic of Ireland in November 2020.

But a hip injury saw him withdraw from England's Euro 2020 squad last summer and he also suffered a bout of Covid-19 back in August, allowing De Gea to reassert himself as No 1.

Ten Hag does favour a goalkeeper who is comfortable with the ball at his feet, which means Henderson could be chosen over De Gea.

But the Spaniard's shot-stopping abilities are pretty much unrivalled and he has been a rare positive in a hugely disappointing season for United.
