Manchester United 'join Tottenham in race for £50m-rated Andre Onana... just two months after handing David de Gea a new £350,000 a week deal'

* Ajax would be willing to sell Andre Onana should the right offer come in for him
* Onana kept a clean sheet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season
* Manchester United have entered the race to sign the Ajax goalkeeper

Manchester United have entered the race to sign Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana despite recently handing De Gea a new £350,000-a-week contract according to the Mirror.

Tottenham are also in for the Cameroon international as Hugo Lloris' form has been worrying Spurs chiefs and they are ready for an upgrade.

Ajax would be willing to sell should the right offer of £50million come in for their number one goalkeeper.

Manchester United have entered the race to sign Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana. Premier League side Tottenham are reportedly lining up a bid for Ajax keeper Onana

Onana was partly at fault for Ajax's collapse in last season's Champions League semi-final against Spurs.

During the dramatic second-leg, he failed to keep hold of the ball for Tottenham's second of the night after saving from Fernando Llorente before pushing it back out to Lucas Moura who converted.

This led to the Eredivisie side throwing away a three-goal aggregate lead as Spurs reached the final.

Onana did however keep a clean sheet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg.

Lloris is currently sidelined with a horrific elbow injury but has been in and out of form in the last 12 months and Spurs are ready to let him go.

Manchester United 'plotting double swoop for Leeds duo Kalvin Phillips and Ben White' after being 'blown away' by performances this season

* Manchester United are interested Leeds duo Kalvin Phillips and Ben White
* United have reportedly sent scouts to watch both on numerous ocassions
* Phillips and White have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs

Manchester United are reportedly preparing for a transfer raid on Leeds with moves for Kalvin Phillips and Ben White.

According to reports, United No 2 Mike Phelan went to Elland Road to watch Phillips play in Leeds' 1-0 win over Birmingham last month.

White, who is on loan from Brighton, has already attracted plenty of interest from the Premier League with Liverpool being heavily linked with a £20million move for the defender.

Manchester United have been closely tracking the progress of Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips

But according to Football Insider, United scouts have regularly been tracking White as well as Phillips and are said to be 'blown away' by their performances.

The Championship club are reported to have turned down a £27m bid for Phillips from Tottenham in the summer.

United have kept a watchful eye on his progress this season and have sent scouts to watch him play on several occasions.

United are also interested in defender Ben White (middle), who is on loan from Brighton

Phillips only signed a new long-term deal at Leeds back in September but his future could depend on whether or not Marcelo Bielsa's side are promoted back to the Premier League this season.

The midfielder and White have been mainstays in the Leeds team this season, both making 15 appearances in the league so far.

A number of clubs are understood to be interested in the pair but United are ready to battle it out for their signatures with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen for the club to active over the next two transfer windows.

Manchester United 'join chase for Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga'… but face competition from Barcelona for £26m star

* Eduardo Camavinga seen as one of the brightest prospects in French football
* The 17-year-old has started all 13 of Rennes' Ligue 1 games this season
* Man United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are interested in the midfielder

Manchester United are reportedly one of a number of big clubs interested in signing young Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga.

The 17-year-old, who has been part of Rennes' system since the age of 11, has become a first team regular, starting all 13 of his side's Ligue 1 games this season.

Regarded as one the brightest prospects in French football, Camavinga's performances have already caught the eye of the likes of United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, according to L'Equipe.

Man United are reportedly interested in signing young Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga. The 17-year-old midfielder ha started all 13 of his side's Ligue 1 games this season

The French outlet also claim it will take a bid in the region of £26million if Rennes are to let the midfielder go.

Camavinga has primarily been used as a defensive midfielder during his senior career but his technical and physical attributes have earned him comparisons with Manchester United and France star Paul Pogba.

He is in the process of gaining French nationality, having moved to the country from Angola when he was six, and his excited youth coaches believe he has what it takes to one day be even more influential in the national team's midfield than Pogba and N'Golo Kante.

And in a connection to another of France's senior stars, Camavinga has the same agent - Moussa Sissoko - as Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

Demebele also started his career at Rennes, coming through the ranks before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2016 and then Barcelona in a deal worth up to £135.5m a year later.

Manchester United boosted in Erling Haaland chase as 'Barcelona have reservations over €100m price tag'

* Barcelona have reservations over Erling Braut Haaland's €100million price tag
* Haaland has been outstanding this season, scoring 26 goals for RB Salzburg
* Manchester United have also been heavily linked with a move for the forward

Barcelona have reservations over signing Erling Braut Haaland due to the RB Salzburg star's €100million (£85.6million) price tag.

The highly rated young forward has been in sensational form this season, scoring 26 goals in 18 games at club level, and has attracted interest from high-profile sides including Manchester United.

As reported by ESPN FC, Barcelona have been hugely impressed by Haaland's performances, but are unlikely to pursue a move for the 19-year-old due to what they see as extortionate demands from Salzburg.

Barcelona have reservations over striker Erling Braut Haaland's €100million price tag. Haaland, who has scored 26 goals this season, is being targeted by Manchester United

Haaland has already demonstrated that he is capable of making a major impact in the Champions League, having scored seven goals in four games in Europe's elite club competition this season.

The starlet's excellent displays have also led to him earning recognition for Norway, for whom he has now played twice at senior level.

Barcelona's reluctance to pay such a significant fee for Haaland could well be a major boost for United, whose manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a long-term admirer of the player.

Real Madrid have also been linked with Haaland, whose current contract at Salzburg runs until the summer of 2023.

Haaland's physical strength would be of great use in the Premier League, while he also possesses the technical qualities to thrive at the highest level.

Last weekend Haaland scored his fifth hat-trick of the season as he scored all of Salzburg's goals in their 3-0 win against Wolfsberger AC.

Haaland is currently with the Norway squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Faroe Islands and Malta.

Nemanja Matic 'to push for January exit from Manchester United' after becoming 'dissatisfied' with lack of minutes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

* Nemanja Matic has not played for Manchester United since October 3
* Former Chelsea man has fallen behind the likes of Scott McTominay and Fred
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said Matic has been out with an injury recently

Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic is preparing to push for a January exit after becoming an Old Trafford outcast under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Serbian newspaper Sata24 claim Matic is considering his options after making just five appearances for the club so far this season.

Matic has fallen behind Scott McTominay and Fred in the Manchester United pecking order so will be free to leave the club should there be an offer in the new year.

Nemanja Matic is reportedly hoping to leave Manchester United during the January window. Matic, pictured in action against West Ham in September, has barely played this season

Manchester United's manager has put Matic's absence down to an injury but he is said to be unhappy with the amount of playing time he has been given this season.

24Sata claim the former Chelsea man is now pushing for a move away from the club after becoming 'dissatisfied'.

Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus all hold interest in Matic.

Speaking about Matic's injury issues in September, Solskjaer revealed that the midfielder had attempted to play through the pain barrier.

'He has played on with a little problem and he decided he couldn't play on anymore,' he said.

Matic cost United £40million in 2017, but will be available for free at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Manchester United 'lead the race for teenage sensation Erling Braut Haaland' after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'tells them to sign the striker'

* Manchester United are currently the frontrunners to land Erling Braut Haaland
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has instructed United chiefs to sign the highly-rated striker
* Haaland, 19, has scored 26 goals in just 18 games in all competitions this season

Manchester United are in pole position to land Red Bull Salzburg star Erling Braut Haaland.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has instructed the club to do everything within their power to sign the teenage sensation, who has scored 26 goals in 18 games in all competitions this season.

Haaland played under Solskjaer during his days at Molde and is attracting plenty of interest from Europe's elite amid a stunning run of form.

Man United are reportedly in pole position to sign Red Bull Salzburg star Erling Braut Haaland. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told United chiefs to begin the process of trying to sign Haaland

According to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, Solskjaer is determined to push ahead with a deal to sign the highly-rated 19-year-old.

They claim that United chiefs have already set about putting the wheels in motion after holding conversations with Solskjaer about Haaland.

Solskjaer is desperate to bolster his attacking ranks following the summer sales of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan.

However, it is expected that United will have to wait until next summer to sign Haaland with the Norway international keen to address his future at the end of the season.

Italian wonderkid Sandro Tonali reveals Brescia president Massimo Cellino said he would not sell him for £256m as Manchester United, Man City and PSG chase midfielder

* Brescia president Massimo Cellino is determined to keep hold of Sandro Tonali
* Cellinio says the Manchester United target is worth 300 million euros
* The 19-year-old midfielder made his full international debut for Italy last month
* His performances have already led fans to compare Tonali to Andrea Pirlo

Brescia star Sandro Tonali says he is 'not scared' by by club president Massimo Cellino's claim it would take an offer of £256million to sign the midfielder.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have been scouting the 19-year-old, but Cellino insists he would be better off staying put.

And Tonali, who made his Italy debut last month, is embracing the former Leeds owner's praise.

When asked about transfer speculation during the international break, Tonali told Rai Sport: 'I love president Cellino very much and he rates me highly.

'He's a great person and I hope to travel down a good road with him.

'After the match against Fiorentina, he said he wouldn't even sell me for €300m (£256m), but that doesn't scare me, even if it really is a lot of money.

'I'm confident about what we'll do this season. For now I'm not thinking about the market, I just want to help Brescia stay up.'

Tonali came on as a substitute during Italy's 5-0 rout of Liechtenstein in Euro 2020 qualifying on October 15, and he is in contention to face Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday.

Brescia star Sandro Tonali is not fazed by speculation linking him with Manchester United

The Brescia star has displayed impressive distribution and tenacious tackling, and already been compared to iconic Italian midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Gattuso.

On those comparisons, Tonali added: 'Being compared to Pirlo doesn't bother me, but I think we're very different because he had indescribable technique and quality.

'I consider myself to be like Gattuso but more technical. He's always been my role model.'

Speaking last month, Cellino told La Gazzetta dello Sport of his desire to keep his prize asset Tonali at Brescia.

'His agent and his parents were telling me about this €50 million evaluation,' he said. 'I replied that for me he is worth €300 million, which means I don't want to sell.

'I have a dream. If Sandro accepts, I am ready to make a big financial sacrifice to extend his contract. It's up to him to decide. He can stay here and enjoy his football or go to a big club and risk being left on the bench.'

Manchester United 'monitoring Sporting Lisbon's Matheus Pereira' after impressing at West Brom this season

* The 23-year-old Brazilian has been in electrifying form in the Championship
* He has teed up nine goals in 14 appearances and chipped in with three of his own
* This has reportedly captured the interest of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United

Manchester United's quest for midfield creativity has seen them turn to West Brom loan star Matheus Pereira.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has been in electrifying form in the Championship this season, teeing up nine goals in 14 appearances and chipping in with three of his own.

This has reportedly captured the interest of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer among other top flight managers, according to The Mirror - who say that the Norwegian's scouts have been monitoring the winger.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has been in electrifying form in the Championship this season

He has become a fan favourite at the Hawthorns this season and the Baggies have an option to sign Pereira for £8.25million at the end of his loan stint.

The Belo Horizonte native has been with parent club Sporting Lisbon since 2010 and has been farmed out on loan to Nurnberg in Germany and Chaves in Portugal in recent seasons.

He played 19 times in the Bundesliga last season, hitting the net three times and assisting just twice.

His goals and assists this season show the improvement he has undergone under Slaven Bilic.

The winger hit the headlines in September when he celebrated a goal with a 'cut-throat' action during West Brom's 2-0 victory over QPR.

He later apologised and said: 'The gesture was meant only to signify "game over" as my goal had given us a 2-0 lead and the opposition had lost a player to a red card.'

The celebration was seen as particularly insensitive due to the fact that Loftus Road has been renamed The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium for this season, in recognition of the work done by the charity after it was set up following the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old schoolboy Prince in May 2006.

He could join fellow Brazilians Fred and Andreas Pereira in the United midfield.

Manchester United 'identify EIGHT transfer targets with Callum Wilson, John McGinn and Jack Grealish' joining Erling Braut Haaland on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's wishlist

* Manchester United are looking to spend more money in the January window
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has written up EIGHT possible transfer targets for the club
* Teenage sensation Erling Braut Haaland is the main target for United
* Callum Wilson, Jack Grealish and John McGinn are also targets for Solskjaer

Manchester United have reportedly identified eight transfer targets for the upcoming January window.

It is highly likely that United will allow manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to invest this winter after a mediocre start to the Premier League season, where they sit nine points adrift of the top four.

For the past couple months, they have been linked with strikers across Europe from Juventus' Mario Mandzukic to RB Salzburg wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland.

Manchester United's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has drawn up a big wishlist for the January window. Bournemouth's Callum Wilson is also on the wish list, after almost leaving the club last summer

In preparation for the upcoming transfer window, Solskjaer has identified eight players he would like to bring to Old Trafford, according to ESPN.

Solskjaer is looking to add more youth to United's ranks after the summer arrivals of Harry Maguire, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, the Red Devils still need to strengthen their attacking options after the departures of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera.

Haaland is the main target along with Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho after reports that the club were lining up a staggering £185million swoop for the two.

Haaland has scored 26 goals in 18 matches across all competitions and only recently turned 19 years old.

Also on United's radar are Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson and Aston Villa duo John McGinn and Jack Grealish.

Quote:
TRANSFER TARGETS

Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) - £100m

Erling Haaland (Red Bull Salzburg) - £80m

James Maddison (Leicester) - £60m

Declan Rice (West Ham) - £45m

Callum Wilson (Bournemouth) - £30m

Moussa Dembele (Lyon) - £40m

John McGinn (Aston Villa) - £20m

Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) - £40m

Aston Villa duo John McGinn (left) and Jack Grealish (right) are also on United's radar

Wilson would add more attacking prowess to Solskjaer's front line but could come at a hefty price after Chelsea failed to land the strikers signature in the summer, despite being willing to pay the Cherries £50m for him.

United did show interest previously in Villa's John McGinn for a reported fee of £50m but manager Dean Smith will not go down without a fight for the Scottish midfielder if Solskjaer persists in his pursuit.

Grealish would be a logical addition to the squad as current attacking midfielder Andreas Perriera has struggled to make an impact under Solskjaer.

However, Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is also on the wishlist and it is highly unlikely that both of them could leave for Old Trafford this January.

West Ham's Declan Rice and Lyon forward Moussa Dembele are also on the radar as United prepare to spend big money to close to the gap on the Premier League's top four.

Arsenal, Manchester United and AC Milan in 'three-way battle to sign Juventus defender Merih Demiral' during January transfer window

* Merih Demiral, 21, could be allowed to leave Juventus in the new year
* Arsenal and Manchester United are among the clubs tracking Demiral
* The Turkey international has made just one appearance for Juventus this season

Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly preparing to lock horns over Turkey international Merih Demiral during the January transfer window.

Tuttosport suggest Juventus will cash in on the 21-year-old defender should a significant offer come in for the former Sassuolo man.

The Italian publication claim both Arsenal and Manchester United have sent scouts to make personal checks on Demiral during Turkey's qualifiers against Iceland and Andorra.

Merih Demiral is being closely tracked by Man United and Arsenal ahead of January window. Juventus signed Demiral from Sassuolo in the summer but he could move on in the new year

Juventus signed Demiral from Sassuolo in the summer for £16million but he has only made one senior appearance under Maurizio Sarri.

His only outing for the Old Lady came against Verona in September's 2-1 win for Sarri's men.

Demiral has found games hard to come by with Leonardo Bonucci and fellow summer signing Matthijs de Ligt the preferred defensive partnership. He is also said to be behind Daniele Rugani in the pecking order.

AC Milan are also said to be in the race to sign Demiral should he choose to stay in Italy rather than move to the Premier League.

Arsenal will attempt to bolster their defensive options when the window reopens while United may need to replace Eric Bailly should he leave on a free transfer next summer.
