Re: [EL] Zorya Luhansk vs Manchester United
Manchester United fans warned not to wear club colours on trip to Zorya Luhansk after violence mars minnows' Europa League campaign
* Zorya Luhansk are due to entertain Manchester United next week * Travelling supporters have been warned to take care on the trip * United fans asked to use shuttle buses and to avoid wearing club colours * There are concerns hooligans could target the night for trouble * Supporters will be entitled to a full refund if they no longer want to go * Ukrainian club's home games are being played in the city of Odessa Manchester United's concern for the welfare of supporters in Ukraine next week is so strong they have that delivered strict instructions on how to avoid harm. Those travelling to the clash with Zorya Luhansk have been warned about running battles between locals and both Feyenoord and Fenerbahce fans in Europa League group games this season. In a letter sent out to fans by club secretary John Alexander, United pleaded with those going to keep their wits about them going in and out of the Chernomorets Stadium through a park. Manchester United fans have been given safety advice ahead of the trip to Zorya Luhansk Shuttle buses are being laid on - as they were for previous away games this season - and it has been advised not to wear club colours. It is feared United's contingent will be targeted. United are worried a hooligan element that caused havoc at the European Championship will look for trouble next Thursday night. And supporters have even been offered the chance of a full refund if they no longer want to go, with Jose Mourinho's side needing a point to progress to the last 32. Ugly scenes marred Zorya's clashes with both Fenerbahce and Feyenoord in the city of Odessa, 560 miles from their home in Luhansk. 'Due to political sensitivity in the region it is not just opposition football fans who may potentially pose a risk to your safety,' the letter read. United's fans have been told they can get full refunds if they no longer with to travel 'Incidents of serious disorder during the European Championships in France last summer involving violent individuals and groups emanating from Eastern Europe should be remembered when considering your movements and actions, and any potential risk. 'The stadium is within a short walking distance from the city centre and is located within a wooded park where the lighting is very poor. 'For your own safety, shuttle buses will be in operation from 5.45pm (local time) departing from Cathedral Square and you are strongly advised to travel to the stadium on these police escorted buses. 'At the previous group stage games in the city there have been attacks on visiting fans with some in the park around the stadium, so we therefore advise you not to walk through this park to the stadium. 'The shuttle buses will again be in operation after the game to take you back to the city centre. 'For your safety and security you are advised not to wear Manchester United colours when in the Ukraine or attract attention to your presence in the city.' Code:

Re: [EL] Zorya Luhansk vs Manchester United
Zorya Luhansk increase security operation ahead of Manchester United showdown by bringing in 500 police officers for Europa League encounter
* Manchester United face Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine next Thursday * There are fears English supporters will be targeted by local fans * Zorya have to play their home games 560 miles from their hometown Zorya Luhansk have launched a major security operation for next week’s Europa League clash with Manchester United amid fears that English fans will be targeted in Ukraine. United have written to their supporters warning them not to wear club colours in Odessa and issued specific travel instructions following violence when Feyenoord and Fenerbahce played their Group A ties in the Black Sea port. It has emerged that 500 police – more than twice the usual number for Zorya’s league fixtures – 140 personnel from a private security firm and 260 stewards will be on duty for the game at the 27,400-capacity Chornomorets Stadium which has been sold out for two weeks. Additional police units will also be on patrol in the city centre. Zorya Luhansk are wary of their fans clashing with travelling Manchester United fans ‘For a famous club like Manchester United of course we will prepare responsibly with a lot of security measures,’ said a source close to the Ukrainian club. ‘Odessa is safe. Our city is really not dangerous. In every championship there are conflicts, it is normal. ‘But I think it will be safe and our police will provide a high level of security to make sure everybody is OK.’ Zorya have been forced to stage their Europa League games in Odessa due to the civil war between Russian-backed rebels and government forces 560 miles away in their hometown of Luhansk. Extra police officers are being brought in to minimise crowd trouble in Odessa - here a steward tries to break up a fight in the stands during Zorya's match with Feyenoord United have warned that the threat may come from organised Eastern European gangs rather than Zorya supporters after England fans clashed with Russian thugs at Euro 2016 in the summer. The letter from club secretary John Alexander, which offered ticket holders a full refund if they are worried about travelling to Ukraine, read: ‘For your safety and security you are advised not to wear Manchester United colours when in the Ukraine or attract attention to your presence in the city. ‘Due to political sensitivity in the region it is not just opposition football fans who may potentially pose a risk to your safety.’ Code:

Setuju... Bahkan kalau bisa FA Cup harus juara, biar awal musim depan dapat kesempatan memenangkan Community Shield lagi. Lumayanlah nambah koleksi trofi meski kurang bergengsi

Re: [EL] Zorya Luhansk vs Manchester United
PREVIEW: ZORYA LUHANSK V MANCHESTER UNITED How can I follow the game? Thursday's Europa League encounter between Zorya Luhansk and Manchester United at Chornomorets Stadium kicks off at 18:00 GMT and will be screened live on BT Sport in the UK. MUTV subscribers can enjoy pre-match build-up in Match Day Live from 17:00 GMT, with the match shown in full at midnight. You can also keep up with the action via ManUtd.com's live blog or the club's official Twitter account @ManUtd. We just need a point to qualify, right? Yes, a draw would guarantee passage through to the knockout stages of the Europa League, regardless of the result between Feyenoord and Fenerbahce in the other group game. United can afford to lose if Feyenoord fail to win and, to finish top of Group A, the Reds just need to better Fenerbahce’s result. A draw for United and a Feyenoord victory would leave all three teams on 10 points, meaning the Reds would win the group due to a better head-to-head record against both of those sides. Zorya are certain to finish fourth. Teams who qualify as group winners avoid a last-32 clash against one of the four seeded teams who have been eliminated from the Champions League, as well as the other Europa League group winners. Phew! Why haven’t Zorya been playing in Luhansk? The Chorno-Bili (‘Black and Whites’) were forced to leave their home city in 2014 because it is situated in the war-torn Donbass region of Ukraine. They’ve since been playing their home league games 300 miles away in Zaporizhia but that stadium doesn’t meet UEFA requirements, so they have been contesting their Europa League fixtures even further afield, in the southern port city of Odessa. It’s about a 1,200-mile round trip to and from Luhansk. The games are coming thick and fast… will Jose Mourinho make many changes? You’re right. United were frustratingly held to a draw at Everton in the Premier League on Sunday and face another big game at home to Tottenham Hotspur only three days after taking on Zorya, so Mourinho will doubtless factor that into his team selection for the game in Odessa, which is a four-hour flight away. Luke Shaw wasn’t involved at Goodison Park, having been withdrawn at half-time in the preceding match against West Ham United, while Chris Smalling has missed the last nine fixtures. ManUtd.com will announce the travelling squad on Wednesday morning but one player who won’t be on board is Bastian Schweinsteiger - the German is ineligible as he was not named in United’s original Europa League squad. What have our players been saying? “It’s a longer flight than we’re used to in Europe but we relish challenges like this. We beat them at Old Trafford but it wasn’t as easy as many people thought it might be, so we have to concentrate on our job and get the win.” – Phil Jones What’s our record like in Ukraine? We’re unbeaten in three previous trips, which were all in the Champions League. The Reds drew 0-0 with Dynamo Kiev in September 2000 and beat the same opposition 4-2 in October 2007, en route to winning the competition that season. Most recently, Danny Welbeck scored in a 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in October 2013. Have any clubs already booked their last-32 place? Yes, the following 13 teams have already qualified for the next round: Ajax, Roma, Schalke, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sparta Prague, Zenit St. Petersburg, Anderlecht, APOEL, Athletic, Genk, Krasnodar, Olympiacos and Saint-Etienne. Meanwhile, United’s Premier League rivals Southampton are among 22 sides still battling to progress on Thursday; the Saints need a win or a goalless draw at home to Hapoel Beer-Sheva. www.manutd.com |
