- The kit was created and produced as part of adidas Football Creator Studio, a digital platform giving fans the chance to design shirts

adidas Football has today revealed Manchester United's third kit for the 2017/18 season, designed by a fan. It was produced using the adidas Football Creator Studio platform, channelling and celebrating the creativity of football fans all over the world.

The Creator Studio platform allowed fans the opportunity to design the third kits for United and five other clubs – FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid CF, Juventus, AC Milan and Flamengo – the ultimate expression of fan creativity.

All submitted kits were voted on by fans in a 'battlemode' that saw the most popular kits shortlisted to a top 100. The winners for each club were then chosen by an expert panel of some of the clubs' most iconic players and a design by Aniello Carotenuto came out on top at United.

The kit, which will be worn during the 2017/18 season, represents the powerful bond between the team and our fans. The light grey shirt is designed with a graphic showing the silhouette of the famous 'Holy Trinity' statue outside Old Trafford. The statue of club icons Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Denis Law represents a golden era for the club and this unique history was the inspiration for the new third kit.

The kit is available to purchase through adidas and official club stores, including United Direct (store.manutd.com), from today - Friday 21 July.

NEW DIGITAL FOURTH KIT UNVEILED

Available solely on EA SPORTS’ FIFA 18, a special digital fourth Manchester United kit has been released by EA Sports and adidas.

The adidas Football X EA Fourth Kit is the first time the adidas football design team has worked on kits that will be purely digital, and the result is a selection of bold graphic designs unlike anything ever seen before on-pitch or in-game.

The kit, inspired by the seats of Old Trafford, will now be deployed in FIFA 18 and made available to those who have identified United as their chosen team in FIFA 18.

For those who are looking to get their hands on this one-of-a-kind kit, it will be available in packs as tradeable items (or on the transfer market) for all players that are interested in one or more of the fourth kits. The innovative collection includes fourth kits for United, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid.
