EUROPA LEAGUE PREVIEW: SAINT-ETIENNE V UNITED

When is it? United's Europa League Round of 32 second-leg match will kick off at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard this Wednesday at 17:00 GMT. It will be broadcast live in the UK on BT Sport, but you can also follow it via ManUtd.com's match blog and the club's Twitter account @ManUtd. MUTV subscribers can watch Match Day Live from 16:00, featuring radio commentary on the game, and see the full 90 minutes from midnight.

Why Wednesday and not Thursday? Good question. Saint-Etienne's rivals, Lyon, are also in Europa League action this week - they face AZ Alkmaar on Thursday evening. Due to the short distance between the clubs (around 50 kilometres), United will be in town a day earlier than usual in the competition.

Round two... The Reds built up a significant lead in last week's first-leg clash at Old Trafford, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first hat-trick for the club enough to give Jose Mourinho's men a 3-0 win. While the evening belonged to United's hitman, it was an emotional occasion for Paul Pogba, who lined up against his older brother Florentin, with his family watching on from the stands.

Any early team news? Jose Mourinho has confirmed David De Gea and Antonio Valencia were rested for Sunday's FA Cup fifth-round victory at Blackburn, while Wayne Rooney and Phil Jones aren't expected to be fit for this Europa League match. Meanwhile, Ander Herrera will play no part in the game; a yellow card in the first leg, his third in the competition this season, means he's suspended. With the first-leg result, as well as this weekend's EFL Cup final Southampton in mind, the United boss may well choose to shuffle his pack once again.

What's changed since last time? Well, as mentioned, United's preparations couldn't have gone much better, following that win at the weekend. The result means we're still fighting on all fronts and, with a place in the last 16 of the Europa League at stake on Wednesday, the Reds will be keen to finish the job and keep the continental challenge going. After missing the first leg at Old Trafford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is fit and firing again, as he showed when providing a superb assist at Ewood Park. As for our opponents, things haven't been quite so straightforward - defeat at Montpellier on Sunday means they'll need to bounce back quickly.

Jose's thoughts... "I've had crazy experiences in football," he told MUTV. "I was losing against Tottenham once, 3-0 at half-time, and we drew 3-3. I was winning, it was Real Madrid against Galatasaray, we won 3-0 at home and then were losing 3-1 in Istanbul [the tie ended in a 5-3 aggregate win for Real]. I have been through so many crazy experiences that I believe in anything. We have to go there, defend well, not concede and try to score a goal that will put them in a very difficult situation."

And the players? "It was a good result in the first leg because we wanted to win," Paul Pogba told MUTV. "We wanted to score goals so it would be easier for us in the second leg, but it is not finished yet with Saint-Etienne."

Incredible Ibra... Should he feature, United's Swedish striker will be looking to continue his fine form in 2016/17. Zlatan's winner at Blackburn was his 24th goal in all competitions this season, and 18th in his last 20 appearances. Saint-Etienne won't need reminding, though - Ibrahimovic has scored 17 goals in 14 matches against the French side!
