Barcelona 'could make shock move for Manchester United's Paul Pogba' with midfielder's contract running out next summer... days after saying it's his 'dream' to play for rivals Real Madrid

* Barcelona could make a surprise swoop for Man United's Paul Pogba next year
* LaLiga giants are targeting bargains after financial impact of Covid-19 outbreak
* World Cup winner openly flirted with a move away from Old Trafford last week
* Midfielder Pogba stated that it would be his 'dream' to play for Real Madrid

arcelona could reportedly make a surprise swoop for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba next year as they target bargains following the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The World Cup winner openly flirted with a move away from Old Trafford last week, stating that it would be his 'dream' to play for Real Madrid.

But Real's rivals Barcelona are interested in signing Pogba should the midfielder become a free agent, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 27-year-old has entered the final year of his deal at United although there is an option for it to be extended by one more year.

While hinting at a move away from the Red Devils, Pogba did reveal that there have been no talks with United chief executive Ed Woodward about a new contract at the club.

Pogba said: 'Yes, all football players would love to play for Real Madrid. It is a dream for me, why not one day?

Barcelona could make a surprise swoop for Man United midfielder Paul Pogba next year. Barcelona, managed by Ronald Koeman, are interested in signing Pogba if his contract expires. Pogba stated that it would be his 'dream' to play for Real Madrid, managed by Zinedine Zidane

'I am in Manchester and I love my club. I am playing in Manchester, I'm having fun and I want to do everything to put the club where it deserves it. I will give everything to the max, like my team-mates.

'No-one has told me anything. I have not spoken to Ed Woodward. We haven't spoken about a new deal.

'At the moment, I am in Manchester and I am concentrating about getting back to my best form.

'I think there will be a moment when the club will come and talk to me and maybe offer me something, or not.

'So far, nothing has happened. I can't tell you something that I don't know.'

Barcelona's finances have been severely hit this summer and made an £88million loss following the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak and find themselves cash-strapped.

If Pogba, who is believed to be open to the idea of a switch to the Nou Camp, did not agree new terms at United, the midfielder would be available for free in June.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from United for some time and speculation will only intensify with just eight months remaining on his current contract.

Barcelona are also reportedly lining up another trio of players who would be available for free next summer: Memphis Depay of Lyon, Man

Manchester United 'lower Paul Pogba asking price to just £53m' as under-fire midfielder continues to attract attention of Real Madrid

* Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell Paul Pogba in the summer
* Frenchman signed a deal until 2022 but United are said to be ready to cash in
* Pogba recently lost his place in the United starting XI with the team struggling
* Real Madrid are still monitoring Pogba with Zinedine Zidane a known admirer

Paul Pogba could be set for a summer move to Real Madrid after Manchester United reportedly dropped their asking price to as little as £53million (€60m).

The Frenchman has come under heavy questioning this season, and has recently lost his place in the United starting XI despite the team's struggles on the pitch.

Now, United are ready to move the midfielder on and will accept a vastly reduced fee for the star, according to Spanish publication AS.

The Madrid-based publication carry reports based on information from FourFourTwo, who claim United will sell Pogba this summer despite the player being contracted until 2022.

Madrid have been linked with Pogba for some time, with the player heavily tipped to make a move to the Bernabeu prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

Pogba has struggled this season so far, with United having made one of their worst ever starts to a football season.

Paul Pogba could be finally set to seal an exit from Manchester United in the summer window. United are reportedly lowering their asking price and Pogba still has many suitors. Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is known to be a long-term admirer of the midfielder

At present the World Cup winner currently finds himself on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's bench, with Bruno Fernandes and summer signing Donny van de Beek preferred.

Since, links with the Spanish giants have diminished somewhat, though it is understood that manager Zinedine Zidane remains a huge admirer.

Zidane is said to have asked the Madrid board for both Eden Hazard and Pogba upon his return to the dug-out, and has already had half of these wishes granted.

Madrid however have a long list of transfer targets, with the club understood to be preparing all energy and resources into signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain next summer.

Mbappe said of Zidane in May: 'My first idol was Zidane for everything he achieved with the national team. Then it was Cristiano [Ronaldo]. He has won a lot and is still a winner after so much success.

'Both have left their mark on the history of football and I want to leave my own chapter in the books.'

Mbappe's contract at PSG runs until the summer of 2022 and so far he has resisted talks of an extension.

Manchester United 'are interested in Braga starlet David Carmo' as they ramp up their search for a new left-sided centre back... but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must beat off Premier League competition and sell Phil Jones or Marcos Rojo to land the defender

* Manchester United are reportedly interested signing defender David Carmo
* Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still looking to sign a new left-sided centre-back
* But the United boss will first have to offload Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones
* The Red Devils will also have to beat strong competition for the Braga starlet

Manchester United are stepping up their search for a left-sided centre-back with Braga starlet David Carmo reportedly in their sights.

The highly rated defender has impressed in Portugal's top flight this season and, at the age of 21, has plenty of time to develop.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was keen to sign a left-footed centre back in the summer but missed out on Nathan Ake as rivals Manchester City beat them to a £41million deal.

Solskjaer is still looking for a left-sided defender and ESPN report that Carmo is one of the players United are showing an interest in.

The report claims the Red Devils would face strong competition from other clubs in Europe, including rivals from the Premier League.

Fiorentina and Roma both enquired about the defender in the summer but did not table any bids.

The Red Devils face strong competition from other Premier League clubs for the 21-year-old. United must sell outcasts Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones before they can sign Carmo

Braga are under no pressure to sell with the youngster contracted until 2025. Carmo made 20 appearances last season and has five under his belt for the current campaign.

One of those was the 4-0 defeat by Leicester City in the Europa League earlier this month.

Carmo has been capped Portugal's Under 20s and was part the Under-19 team that won the European Championship in 2018.

Solskjaer would reportedly have to sell Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo before he could sign Carmo.

Neither of the defenders have featured this season. Jones last played in the fourth round FA Cup victory over Tranmere in January. Rojo spent the second half of last season on loan with Argentine side Estudiantes and has not pulled on a United shirt since October 2019.

Manchester United 'face competition from one of their Big Six rivals for £36m-rated Braga defender David Carmo'... with at least TEN different clubs contacting the talented centre back's agent over a move

* Manchester United are eyeing a move for Braga centre back David Carmo
* However, the Red Devils face fierce competition from a whole host of sides
* Up to 10 clubs from across Europe are interested in landing the 21-year-old
* And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side face competition from a Premier League rival

Manchester United have plenty of work on their hands to land Braga starlet David Carmo with at least 10 clubs interested in his services, according to reports.

United are eyeing a move for the 21-year-old Braga defender after impressing in Portugal's top flight, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side keen on bringing in a left-sided centre back.

But, according to The Athletic, United face fierce competition from at least 10 different clubs - including a number of sides in the Premier League and one of their Big Six rivals - who have already held talks with the player's agent over a move.

Braga defender David Carmo has attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe. Man United want to sign a new defender, with the likes of Victor Lindelof not convincing

Carmo has been tipped for a bright future and has already been compared to Liverpool stalwart Virgil van Dijk thanks to his huge presence at the back and showing great composure on the ball.

Roma were in hot pursuit of the Portuguese youngster last summer but reportedly had a £15million bid turned down.

He had an £18m release clause at the time but Braga have now doubled that to £36m after he put pen to paper on a new deal at the end of last week.

Solskjaer is very keen on adding a left-sided centre back to his ranks, having missed out on Nathan Ake to rivals Manchester City in a £41m deal last summer.

But Braga are under no pressure to sell the youngster after he signed his contract extension until 2025 last week.

Carmo, who only made his Braga debut in January this year, made 20 appearances last season and has five under his belt in the current campaign.

One of those was the 4-0 defeat by Leicester City in the Europa League earlier this month.

Carmo has been capped by Portugal's Under 20s and was part the Under 19 team that won the European Championship in 2018.

Manchester United 'are ready to sell wantaway goalkeeper Sergio Romero for just £2.5m in January' after denying him a summer loan move to Everton

* Manchester United prepared to sell goalkeeper Sergio Romero for £2.5million
* Romero was less than pleased to become the club's third choice shot stopper
* The 33-year-old was left frustrated after United blocked a loan move to Everton

Manchester United are prepared to sell goalkeeper Sergio Romero for just £2.5million in January following a standoff with the player.

Romero was less than pleased to become the club's third choice stopper behind David de Gea and Dean Henderson. He pushed for a summer exit but United could not find a club to pay their £5million asking price.

As Romero remained a Man United player past the transfer window, this led to plenty of hostility between the two with neither wanting to budge.

Manchester United are prepared to sell goalkeeper Sergio Romero for just £2.5million. The 33-year-old was left frustrated after the club played hardball with Everton during summer

According to the Daily Star, they are now willing to let the Argentine leave for £2.5million in the upcoming winter window.

The 33-year-old was left frustrated after the club played hardball with Everton during the summer and did not agree a loan deal with them.

It became an even messier affair when Romero's wife took to social media and blasted the club for blocking his exit.

United have left Romero out of both their Premier League and Champions League squads for the season and despite this they did threaten to exercise an option to extend his deal by another year to get a better price.

Romero, who joined United back in 2015, will breath a huge sigh of relief should he be granted an exit from Old Trafford after fearing he may give up football if United continued to freeze him out.

David Beckham's MLS side Inter Miami have also shown interest in Romero but were unable to strike a deal with the £100,000-a-week goalkeeper.

Manchester United reportedly agreed a £133million (€150million) deal for Ansu Fati last summer with his agent Jorge Mendes, but Barcelona refused to sanction the transfer.

United were eager to sign the 18-year-old, who has emerged as one of the standout youngsters in world football.

As reported by Sport, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to bring in the winger after the club failed to secure a big-money move for Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

United attempted to bring in Fati for a significant fee despite their financial problems. They are on course to record losses of nearly £200million during the current campaign.

Fati has a release clause of £357million (€400million) in his contract.

The starlet has already made 43 appearances for Barcelona, during which he has scored 13 goals and provided five assists.

In addition Fati has broken into the Spain senior squad and has been capped four times.

However, he is currently sidelined with a meniscus injury that could keep him out for four months.

Manchester United 'have not given up hope of signing Ousmane Dembele', with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to make another attempt to land the Barcelona winger on loan in January

* Manchester United are still hopeful of signing Ousmane Dembele on loan
* The Premier League side failed to complete a deal for the forward in the summer
* Reports in Italy suggest United may return for the Barcelona man in January
* Dembele has received more game time following the injury to Ansu Fati

Manchester United have not given up hope of signing Ousmane Dembele on loan and could return for the Barcelona forward in January, according to reports.

United failed to secure a deal for Dembele in the summer but, on his Here We Go podcast, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claimed the 23-year-old is still a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Premier League side are reportedly only interested in a short-term deal, which proved to be a stumbling block in the summer negotiations with cash-strapped Barca wanting to sell the striker.

Manchester United have not given up on signing Ousmane Dembele, according to reports. United failed to sign the Barcelona forward on loan in the summer but could return in January

They wanted the money to help new manager Ronald Koeman rebuild his side - the Dutch boss made no secret of his desire to bring in Memphis Depay from Lyon.

That position still remains but Barca will be keen to avoid losing Dembele on the cheap with his contract set to expire in 2022, if United considered a permanent move.

Barca are said to be working on negotiating a new contract with the Frenchman after his decision to reject an extension prompted the initial interest from United.

Dembele has three goals in all competitions and has featured more since Ansu Fati's injury. Barca are reluctant to let the striker leave on loan and would prefer a permanent transfer which would allow Ronald Koeman to rebuild his squad

It is believed the forward 'appreciates' the steps Barcelona have taken to put fresh terms in place but, for now, uncertainty lingers over his immediate future.

Dembele has started the last three league games following the injury to Ansu Fati and has three goals in all competitions.

With Fati out for around four months, the Catalans will be reluctant to let Dembele leave the Nou Camp without having a replacement lined up.

Dembele signed for Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 in a staggering £133.5m transfer after the departure of Neymar but a string of hamstring and thigh injuries have played a part in preventing him reaching his potential.

The forward is said to have other clubs interested in signing him but Barca are looking for a fee between £60-70m.

After missing out on Dembele, United signed Edinson Cavani on a free transfer following his release from Paris Saint-Germain.

Marcus Rashford is United's leading goalscorer in all competitions with 14 goals, closely followed by Bruno Fernandes who is on 13.

Dembele has found the back of the net more times this season than Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Cavani, who currently have five goals between them.

Manchester United WILL back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the transfer market, insists chief Ed Woodward as he claims long-term recruitment plan will be 'focused on summer windows'

* Manchester United have publicly backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in transfer market
* However, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was coy over January funds
* Woodward insists Red Devils are improving under Solskjaer's managerial reign

Manchester United have publicly backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make the club a major force again after insisting they are seeing signs of progress under the Norwegian.

The Red Devils have endured an inconsistent start to the season, which has left their hopes of reaching the last-16 of the Champions League in the balance while the Premier League table sees them five points off the summit albeit with a game in hand.

It comes after a frustrating summer in the transfer market where the club were unable to land priority target Jadon Sancho, instead bringing in Donny van de Beek from Ajax and last minute deals for Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (above) will be backed in the transfer windows long term according to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward. Woodward is also convinced Solskjaer is making continued progress as manager

Yet executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward claims strengthening the squad remains a key objective and while they were coy on providing January funds insisted they would back Solskjaer long term.

'I said in April we remained committed to strengthening the squad, while being disciplined in our spending during the pandemic,' he told a fans’ forum last month.

'I believe we've delivered on that, with the additions we made during the summer taking our total net spending to over €200m (£180m) since summer 2019 - more than any other major European club over that period.

'We will continue to support Ole with a planned, long-term approach to recruitment, focused on the summer windows.'

United struggled to land their major transfer targets in the summer but did manage to bring in the highly rated Donny van de Beek from Ajax

United's results this term have seen them lose 6-1 at home to Tottenham Hotspur yet also claim a stunning win at Paris Saint-Germain in Europe.

The pressure has been on Solskjaer to improve United, especially with the availability of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino looming large in the background.

Yet Woodward believes Solskjaer's reign as manager since taking over from Jose Mourinho in December 2018 has shown enough progress to convince United chiefs he remains the best long term option for the Red Devils.

'We recognise there's more hard work ahead to achieve the consistency needed to win trophies,' Woodward added.

'But we see positive signs on the pitch and the training ground that reinforce our belief in the progress being made by Ole, his coaching team and the players.'

Manchester United 'turn sights on to Harvey Barnes' as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyes transfer alternative to Jadon Sancho... and Leicester winger would be nearly £50m cheaper than Borussia Dortmund starlet!

* Manchester United are tracking the progress of Leicester winger Harvey Barnes
* The club consider the 22-year-old as an alternative option to Jadon Sancho
* United failed to sign Sancho after Dortmund stuck to their £109m valuation

Manchester United are tracking the progress of Leicester winger Harvey Barnes with the hope he could be a potential transfer alternative to Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

United failed to agree a deal for Sancho in the summer with Borussia Dortmund refusing to lower their £109million asking price and the Germans remain determined to hold on their star.

But according to The Sun, United have started looking at other options and have been paying close attention to Barnes, who has had an impressive start to the season with the Foxes.

Manchester United are reportedly tracking the progress of Leicester winger Harvey Barnes. The club are said to be look at alternative options to Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be a fan of the 22-year-old and is keeping tabs on his progress.

United revealed they will back Solskjaer in the transfer market with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward insisting the club have improved under the Norwegian.

'I said in April we remained committed to strengthening the squad, while being disciplined in our spending during the pandemic,' Woodward told a fans’ forum last month.

United have said that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be given backing in the transfer market. The winger has had an impressive start to the season with five goals in all competitions

'I believe we've delivered on that, with the additions we made during the summer taking our total net spending to over €200m (£180m) since summer 2019 - more than any other major European club over that period.

'We will continue to support Ole with a planned, long-term approach to recruitment, focused on the summer windows.'

Barnes has five goals in all competitions this season and one assist. In the 2019-2020 campaign he managed seven goals and nine assists.

The report claims the Foxes value the winger at £60m but would not accept any bids put forward in the January transfer window.

Barnes has become a key player for Leicester since he was recalled from a loan spell with West Brom in January 2019.

He now has 65 league appearances for the club under his belt and also made his England debut in a friendly against Wales in October.

In September, Brendan Rodgers backed the youngster to stake a claim for Gareth Southgate's Euros squad next summer.

'For him it's about increasing his numbers, if he can get into double figures this year and makes a number of assists then he can be knocking on the door,' Rodgers said.

'He is a really gifted player.

'Now it's the case of improving and my job to challenge him even more. He is a great boy.

Manchester United 'eye summer swoop for Kieran Trippier' as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees Atletico Madrid man as perfect competition for first-choice right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka

* Kieran Trippier is said to have some long-term admirers at Manchester United
* The 30-year-old is in his second season with LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid
* United are said to view Trippier as an attacking alternative to Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United are already planning ahead to the summer transfer window, where a move to bring defender Kieran Trippier back to the Premier League could be on the cards.

According to The Telegraph, the 30-year-old Trippier has long-term admirers at Old Trafford and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring in some competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 30-year-old Trippier is in his second season at Atletico Madrid and will have one more year on his present terms in the summer.

The England international left Tottenham for Diego Simeone's side in July 2019 for a £20m fee and has played 15 times for Atletico this season, who are top of the LaLiga standings and have two games in hand on second-place Real Sociedad.

He has also won 25 caps on the international stage, with his form keeping Wan-Bisska out of Gareth Southgate's plans.

United manager Solskjaer is not said to have any concerns over Wan-Bissaka's ability at right-back but instead would view Trippier as an attacking alternative for his side.

Wan-Bissaka has been an ever-present for Solskjaer so far, also making 15 appearances to date.

Wan-Bissaka and United fought back to defeat West Ham 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday night, lifting them to fifth place in the standings and five points off the top with a game in hand.

Attention at United has promptly switched to Tuesday's must-win Champions League clash against RB Leipzig in Germany.

If United are beaten by Julian Nagelsmann's side, they will be dumped into the Europa League.

kayaknya gak bakal dilepas sama Simeone, apalagi Trippier betah di Atletico dan sedang nyaman dipucuk La Liga, ditambah Trippier selalu menjadi pilihan starter Simeone, akhir pekan lalu cetak 2 assist
