Manchester United - Loan Watch 2015/16
Crewe 1-3 Preston: Manchester United loanee Will Keane opens North End account in Capital One Cup victory
* Jordan Hugill scored a penalty for Preston after just five minutes * Manchester United loanee Will Keane doubled their lead soon after * Adam King gave Crewe hope with a goal on 36 minutes * Josh Brownhill sealed victory for Preston with four minutes remaining Will Keane opened his Preston account as North End avoided the fate of many of their Sky Bet Championship rivals by beating Crewe 3-1 to advance in the Capital One Cup. Seven second-tier sides fell at the first hurdle on Tuesday - with Derby joining them 24 hours later - but North End progressed thanks to strikes from Jordan Hugill, Keane and Josh Brownhill. Joe Garner, scorer of four goals the last time these two met, was kept up Simon Grayson's sleeve but his chosen starting strike-force threatened to dismantle the Alex anyway. Will Keane opened his Preston North End account as they avoided upset in the Capital One Cup Hugill struck the opener with a penalty after five minutes, earning the spot-kick himself having stolen in front of goalkeeper Ben Garratt, who caught the striker as he was attempting to clear. Manchester United loanee Keane added a second eight minutes later, steadying himself to slam home when Hugill's header hit a defender and fell into his path. Hugill should have put the tie to bed following a brilliant one-touch move involving Keane and Brownhill but the Middlesbrough-born forward fluffed his lines. And Crewe had half-time hope as Adam King swept in a first-time left-footed effort from the edge of the area. Brownhill drove against the outside of a post from 25 yards at the start of the second period, while at the other end Lilywhites goalkeeper Jordan Pickford scooped Marcus Haber's header off the line with his right hand. North End pushed for a third and after Keane bent wide and Greg Cunningham's header hit the top of the crossbar, Brownhill scored an 86th-minute third when substitute Garner's headed effort dropped in his lap. Re: Manchester United - Loan Watch 2015/16
Adnan Januzaj came off the Borussia Dortmund bench with half-an-hour left and helped them win 4-2 at Hannover to continue their 100 per cent start in the Bundesliga.
Januzaj had a couple of chances and even showed a bit of trickery to the delight of the 10,000 travelling Dortmund fans. Tyler Blackett made his debut for Celtic, playing at left-back in their 2-1 loss to Aberdeen but didn't perform to his full capability. Celtic head to Amsterdam next for a Europa League game against Ajax on Thursday night. Will Keane struggled to impose himself as Preston North End were beaten 2-1 by Derby County in the Championship, while Ben Pearson played the full 90 as Barnsley defeated Swindon Town 4-1. Lihat pemain United yang sedang dipinjamkan ke klub lain saat ini.
Manchester United loan watch update Dean Henderson has extended his stay at Stockport County for another month and he celebrated with a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw at Bradford Park Avenue. The young goalkeeper made a few fine saves in the National League North clash. Victor Valdes missed Standard Liege's 2-0 defeat against Westerlo with a hamstring injury while James Wilson sat out Brighton's 3-2 win over Bolton due to illness. Barnsley's seven-game winning run came to an end at Gillingham as Ashley Fletcher went close to finding a late equaliser in a 2-1 reverse. Steve Bruce recently suggested he would not rush Nick Powell into action at Hull City, commenting: "We have to manage him because it would be wrong of me to just throw him in if he's not ready. Mike Phelan knows him well and, of course, I spoke with Ryan Giggs at length about him. It's fair to say that Ryan really likes him as a player." Re: Manchester United - Loan Watch 2015/16
*Manchester United loan watch update
Ashley Fletcher scored his first league goal to earn loan club Barnsley a 1-0 derby victory over Doncaster Rovers at the weekend. The Manchester United striker, a 60th-minute substitute for the Tykes at Oakwell, pounced to grab the winner after Thorsten Stuckmann pushed out Conor Hourihane's shot. Nick Powell enjoyed his maiden appearance for Hull City as he helped the Tigers secure a fifth-round replay with Arsenal in the Emirates FA Cup. The forward played well for Steve Bruce's men during a goalless draw in the capital. "He takes the ball well, he's a fantastic athlete and a really good footballer," said Bruce. "I would love to make the move permanent right at this minute, if I possibly could, because he's the type of player you can build your club around." Kieran O'Hara was on the bench for Morecambe as they lost 2-1 at Bristol Rovers while another keeper, Dean Henderson, was recalled from Stockport County ahead of Monday's FA Cup tie with Shrewsbury Town. Victor Valdes and James Wilson are both out injured. Re: Manchester United - Loan Watch 2015/16
LOAN WATCH : WILSON AND FLETCHER ON TARGET
Manchester United strikers James Wilson and Ashley Fletcher were both on the scoresheet as the Football League season entered its decisive phase. Wilson came off the bench to rescue a point for Brighton & Hove Albion with a dramatic equaliser deep into stoppage time against Derby County. The England Under-21 international fired home with the help of a deflection after Seagulls keeper David Stockdale joined the attack. Despite the strike earning a draw for 10-man Albion and extending an unbeaten run to 13 games in the Championship, victory is still required on the final day at Middlesbrough in order to gain automatic promotion to the Barclays Premier League alongside Burnley. "We’re disappointed but, as the manager said, if we had gone into the season knowing we needed one win to get automatic promotion, we'd bite your hand off," Wilson told The Argus. "You could ask a lot of players and everyone would say something different. Personally I would rather need to win, because everyone starts getting nervous in the last 20 minutes if it’s still 0-0. I’d prefer to go up there and give it a good go." Ashley Fletcher went one better by scoring twice for Barnsley in a 2-2 draw with Colchester United. An equaliser eight minutes into injury time means the Tykes are not yet guaranteed a play-off spot in League One, particularly when facing already-promoted Wigan Athletic at the weekend in the season finale. However, the striker was outstanding and his first goal was a thing of beauty, including a nutmeg on Tom Eastman en route to firing home. "That's probably his most consistent game from 0-90 minutes," Barnsley manager Paul Heckingbottom told The Sheffield Star . "He did well. Fletch was really positive and buoyant before the game and you sensed that he'd have a good game. "Luckily, he got the two goals and most of our good play and opportunities were through our individual quality - whether it was a delivery, a run or a bit of skill. "I thought he was good [in the] first half last week against Sheffield United and we spoke about that and how he can replicate that form over longer periods. And he did it, so fair play to him. He’s got some real good attributes and the more time he's spending here with us, the more he's learning how to be effective in the game using those attributes." Meanwhile, United goalkeeper Dean Henderson picked up the Man-of-the-Match award for Stockport County in a 0-0 draw with Curzon Ashton in their last game of the National League North campaign. In addition to a couple of saves from point-blank range, he also denied Jonathan Hunt when the Curzon player seemed set to plunder a winner in the closing stages. HTML Code:
